HELP on Ice effect in 3ds max

Hello there, my first post here is for asking a little help...i'm working on a project for a christmas greeting card and i would like to add some 3d snowflakes to the image, i'm done with models but i still not achieve a good ice effect...
I have no time to do a full search for tutorials or premade materials, so i ask if someone of you can point me in the right direction, thank u in advance, i'm going back to other works..:D

okay well im not sure if you want some falling snowflakes or if you want a snow ground? If you talk aboute snowflakes thats falling from the sky i think its particles your looking for.Ive never used it before but i think thats what your looking for,I think its pretty hard to understand how particles works if you not used them before ,ive never used them befor so i cant tell :)

sorry i made a mistake describing the problem...i want "Snow Crystals" not flakes...i choose the wrong word:o
I have a model of the crystal, but i need a good ice iced/glass effect...i hope this time i have explained myself better....but thank u anyway Thewiruz
