Fan Art - ColeBot - Sagat

Hello all!:D

This will be my second attempt at a contest, unlike the last, hopefully I will finish this one. With all of the time we have I better!

So I really need to work on my human anatomy and figured Sagat from Street Fighter would be a good challenge for myself. I wanted to do Ryu, but his clothes cover up too much of the body to show off what I want to work on (anatomy) and Sagat only has shorts and wraps.

I picked up Scott Spencer's Digital Sculpting book a while ago, and am going to follow his method of making a base mesh, which I hope is ok to do, as well as use the book for reference.

Hi ColeBot and welcome to the contest :) there is a 2month deadline on this comp so hopefully you will get finished, I also never manage to get things finished on time but with the extended timeframe I should also finish for a change lol :)

You sure choosed the right character for practicing anatomy! You got very nice references too.

And I have Scott Spencer's book too, very good book for starting out with lots of nice tips!

Finally got a chance to work on this. I'm learning anatomy as I go on this project, so my approach will be to get the anatomy correct first, then go for the likeness later. Here's where I'm at at the moment and I've put in some time on this but it really doesn't show yet. The back view has been bugging me and doesn't seem right. Anyway here's what I got. All c&c are very much needed and welcome :D thanks!!

That's a nice start so far. Watch out for the side view, he looks a bit flat.
Hope you're gonna buff him when you're ready to do the likeness.
