hi everybody,
this is the first set of renders of my latest project.the objective is to create the skeletal model of a tiger and to subsequently animate it fora short presentation.
the model is complex and the reference is scarce.
started working on the vertebral coloumn(53 bones) first:
heres the cervical subsection:
comments appreciated,thanks all

have you checked out your local museum? or one close by they may have photo's or an actual skeleton you can take photo's of
or in the least tell you where you might be able to get some
nice work so far

The model is awesome! Only one thing I noticed...
In the bottom of your diagram, where it is labeled the "seventh cervicle vertebra," there is an inconsistancy. Look at the top left of the reference pic and look at the nub that is sticking out (the one that is horizontal.) It appears to be connected at a right angle to the adjacent "nub," but on your mesh it appears to be detached. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure you can see it. Maybe it's just a light trick, but that's the only thing I noticed that seemed odd. Other than that it's virtually perfect.
Great work as always.

Beautiful work, the renders are very realistic. One question though: is this skeleton supposed to be a real, actual skeleton made of bones, or is it supposed to be a man-made representation of a skeleton? I'm asking because if it's made out of real bones, then I think the bones should be less glossy and there should be more imperfections, especially on the edges. Right now they are a little too straight and smooth for real bones. Looks great though, love the colors and the lighting. :)

thx suel, the last update was more of a texturing/lighting pass,i will fix the gloss, its supposed to look realistic...also the skull isvery very wip so i will update soon.
thanks :)
