Maybe I am just a dork being 27 and still liking models and figures for my desk. I feel it promots my creativity. I do not copy them, It just gets my imagination going.

I thought it was expensive to untill I read the thing is 8" tall. Not a little GI joe type.

Well then I'm a dork too. I'm a year older than you, (soon to be two years older if that makes sense,) & my desk has a figure of trinity from the matrix, a shrek, a squeezable Kenny from South Park stress reliever, a dead duck (no not a real one - like a normal yellow rubber bath duck, but black with a sickly green beak, it's tongue hanging out & little x's for eyes :D) as well as a little "mike's new car" from monsters inc and a couple of sandtroopers, (one on a dewback,) and a tusken raider.
The only 'legitimate' figures I have are two Art S. Buck poseable artist's mannequins, which were worth every penny I paid for them.

Here I was thinking that I was a king dork with my entire collection of the original Masters of the Universe figures (still in the package) and what-not set up in a China cabinet for all those to see. My girlfriend tells me I'm nuts, but I ask her who pays the bills and then I send her to make me a grilled cheese sandwich and a can of Mountain Dew. :D

Oh I am 27 as well...

Does it apply in case of diecast cars too?

If so i'm the dorkest of dorks, because i still have most of my old Matchbox cars - in good condition (those that remained of course). About 50 of them, not mint, but good. Plus about 15 from Schuco, from the 70s. Recently i couldn't refrain from buying some new Matchbox and Hotwheels. Actually i'm glad most Matchbox and Hotwheels are so much covered with ghastly decalwork to become repulsive. Otherwise goodbye every penny. Not to mention 1:18 scale and the REAL expensive, Danbury Mint kind of collectibles.

Thankfully China churns out tons of diecast cars daily at reasonable prices. For every taste. Bless you people from China!

Well i dug up this photo depicting my collection that used to hang on my studio wall. Now that i have moved to a smaller studio it is sadly stowed away.

I have to admit, I have my own geek gene too. :)

The alien on the skate board is classic. Where is he from. He looks more detailed than the ones I have been seeing. He has the ridges on his head while the others have the smooth skull plates. Haha, we are all geeks. I posted this in another area but I am posting it here to. I did a compositeion with the Halo action figure in photoshop. Now this is true geekdome. Well it is for my desktop and a homework assignment. I am now a college boy. 28 year old college boy.

Ah the Alien was just a gift, so don't know where it's from, but yeah, he was just built for a skateboard! I'm liking the Halo piece, but lose the bevel and emboss. Bevels and embosses, like lens-flares look crap unless they are used subtely. It's too easy to just go "bam! there, it's 3D now", and it shows, so recommend re-thinking it. Trust me on this.

Otherwise, that's looking pretty neat :D

I still have to say that transformers are the coolest toys out there. I don't know about the newer ones, but I have 15 or so of the old ones. Only if I could get a digital camera to show you all...

Does anyone else have the problem I have, which is that every so often I will hit the table as I get up and it sends a waterfall of toys all over the place? Mostly down the back of the desk into an impossible place to get to. So far I havent broken anything, Ive tried bluetaking them, but that doesn’t seem to help.
