well. ive thought abotu it and i cant narrow the field to "favourite"..

i like most games,, fav genre is medieval fantasy or ultra future sci-fi

but thats only cause im used to them, a good steampunk game would be cool.

and if you make a game based on current existing games then it will just be another clone, and not much fun

i like good games, and thats as far as the field gets narrowed

fps: Half life, Unreal II and Max Payne I & II among others (max payne rulez!!!)

rts: Command and Conquer series, Total Anihillation, Starcraft and Warcraft II and III and Frozen Throne (Warcraft is one of my fav games of all times)

rpg: Diablo I & II, Neverwinter Nights, Baldurs Gate I and II, Dungeon Siege (awesome)

if i had to mention 3 games i liked most: Warcraft III Frozen Throne, Max Payne II and Dungeon Siege

Hmm, I like Warsims (OFP) and RPGs. For me it's important to have a Story that creates a lot of atmosphere (don't know how to spell it in engl.) My Favourites are Freespace 1+2 and Starlancer (not Freelancer) they always had a damn good Storyline.... Gothic 1+2 I loved too.....Or Flightsims... B17 Flying Fortress 2 is cool or IL2 Sturmovik.... Or The Thing (The Game to the Horrormovie) was great.... It was the only Horror FPS for me... shocked me like hell :D

I don't think CS and BF are Combat Simulations.... Simulations are made to be realistic an CS is all but for sure not realistic..... this two are Tactical Shooters AmercasArmy and Call of Duty are between this two Genres but more Shooter too.... I think the only real Combat Simulation is Operation Flashpoint...

I like basically every kind of game except stuff like Baulders Gate, too much random mouse clicking. I find that style very repetitive. I'm a bit of a old school gamer. I like games that are instant and rewarding, but I also like games with depth - I'd be as happy playing something like Radiant Silvergun as I am playing Virtua Fighter 4 (incredible depth), or even Steel Battalion. I also like my PC fps and rts (Total War series), but for things like racing and action games I will always go for the console versions. Recently I've been playing Pro Evo Soccer 3, Ace Combat 4, America's Army and a Half-Life mod called The Specialists, which is like multiplayer max payne in the first (or third) person. Try it, it's great! My favourite game is Burning Rangers on the Sega Saturn. Or maybe NiGHTS. Or maybe Shenmue 2 on Dreamcast. Ahh so many greats..

The game I am most looking forward to is Outrun 2 in the arcade. The original is probably the purest racer of all time..

Don´t have time to get involved in to any deeper experiences anymore.
Buuuut lately I´ve been playing w/ Max6 reactor, tossing that
innocent poor ragdoll all over the place...building different worst case scenarios, car crashes etc.
Worth paying that 900€ for an upgrade from 5.1

uhm, well, my favorite game series of all is Legacy of Kain. My favorites being the original soulreaver then Blood Omen 2...
The story is top notch, the voice acting is superb and of course, I love the mythology of vampires.

I also like rpgs, the zelda series being my favorite, gotta love the original snes games, N64 did a heck of a job too.

and for pc, battlefield, love that game :D

Well, I like fps games,rts and also turn based strategy games. My favourite fps rts game at the moment is System Shock 2, now that´s a perfect classic! I also love horror games that are more than just shoot and kill,blood and gore..games with real attention to detail and some creepy atmosphere and sounds...:p
