I've got a model of a head, and 10 morph targets. They were created in Maya and exported to Max. However, when I assign a target to a channel, and turn the spinner, the original model not only morphs, but the entire head moves back to the location of the target model. No matter what I do, resetting pivot, export then reimport, etc, it still does it. If I choose 'use vertex selection' then just those vertices move, waaaay back to their original location.
