hey 3d heads
my name is Daniel
I have just recently finished up a few projects and I thought I should get to postin.
I made this helmet in about 3 weeks in 3d max 5 I used photoshop to trim out the levels a bit. I used max shaders for the textures and working on unwrapping this monster to go the distance plus the next step is to give it a kick ass body. Hope yall like and thanks in advance for the crits.

AWSOME lookin helmet man. Looks game quality or something from the video game Fallout 2. You should be at black isle workin on Fallout 3 with models like that.

Looks SWEET!

Now if you could tell us what every part of the model is FOR ... then we'd give you a cookie. ;)

Nice work ... Can't wait to see it completed. ;)

The detail on it is great, it works very well with the GI look. I can't imagine how good it will look when it is textured, or the body even. Kepp up the good work. :)

This looks fantastic, can't wait for more. =D

BTW what did you use for the pipes on the top and behind his head? The green ones? Are they bent cilinders or renderable splines?

Also, a noob question here, is this a mesh/poly/nurbs model?

dracomn

renderable splines

a couple i converted the splines to clinders so i could copy the shape and a extra tubbing to the spline

I love this helmet. Very clean and detailed. Good Hussle man.
Truly Amazing work.

Also your other character looks great. But I think his hands need to be tweeked out a bit. The palms and the thumb look off on it.

A few minor fixes and hes golden.
