Then do it! Stop talking about it! And just do it! You want to work on a Game don’t read the last post. Actually get off your ass and start working on a game project. There are so many different things one can do to on a game project- Write/design, model/design, Program/Physics, Program/script, Program/Shaders.... and so on.

All of those fields have varying degrees of expertise and the only way to get better is get up and do it.

If anybody is interested in working on a game project with a truly unique concept (not another shooter, based on the Unreal engine). I have a full team of creative people who dont know the word of can't. We are looking for people to animate, model, texture, program, design/model, design/write at all levels of expertise. If you want work on a revolutionary game title email me at:

ano1games@adelphia.net

Sounds good, but you kind of make it sound like one of those telemarketing things, no offence. I would be interested, but I don't really have time to do anything like that at the moment, and I'm hoping to make my own game, (Going so slow..) so, good luck to you, and keep us posted on the progress.

"Okay... This sounds like a cheap commercial :/"

lol exactly my thought...btw, to the threadstarter, people who are good at making games + browsing this forum are most likely already involved in a project, and if you're as big as Jason says, shouldn't you already be marketing in a more professional way? recruiting at threedy seems a little bit, i dunno, unproffesional and halfass...anyway, not interested, but I like the attitude, sure lots of other people are going to join

hey guys, im sure Zuela0 meant no offence, you have all just got defensive straight away. the comment was in your face and a little different to the way most of us communicate here at threedy but some of us (including me) need that sort of a kick start to get us going.

on a more personal note, Zuela0 i would love to join your team if you will have me. i will send you an email and hopefully things can go from there

and guys in future try and look past the first impression and look for the message they are trying to get across (if you still dont like it then set fire to his donkey)

thanks for your time

I'm extremely interested these sorts of projects, mostly to learn since I've still got a lot to learn...
but I already participated in a group where the organizer would Mass recruit. And it wasn't really a great experience.

The problem is people try to get a big team going, with as many talents as possible. Accepting anyone who shows interest.
In the end, you've got 20 different styles, 1000s of different ideas, and a very ambitious project.
In other words, you end up completely lost.

I'd prefer a lot more a small group of ambitious people, working on a not-so-ambitious project. The goal not being to create the next blockbuster... but to finalise a game.

I myself got a few ideas for games.. but I'm going to iron them out myself or with a friend or two first...
before even thinking of assembling a huge team.

Good luck with your plans :)

If anybody is interested in working on a game project with a truly unique concept
No offence, but how many times have we heard that before?
I wish you luck on your project all the same :)

I sent you an email, and you sent me one back with an NDA disclosure telling me i had to sign it and fax it back to you if i wanted more info.

Meh, im not lazy or anything, but you could have at least told me the basics of it, like if it is going to be an FPS or not, if its going to be in a fantasy world, etc.

I dont have easy access to a fax machine, nor do i want to take the time to print it out, sign it, and fax it back just to get a little more info on the project.

"I'd prefer a lot more a small group of ambitious people, working on a not-so-ambitious project"

i reckon your right about that DeadSquirrel, but you need to cast out a big net and then pick and choose, hopefully mr Zuela0 has the bluntness to get rid of those who dont pull their weight or contribute btw, if you want to bounce some ideas around stick them up on the forum or email me directly matty@clerk.com

"If anybody is interested in working on a game project with a truly unique concept"

Snipermaster we must always remain positive about something declared as unique just incase it is, everyone was making unreal type games but the sims was still a success. who knows this guy may actually have a new thought, or atleast a fresh spin on a forgotten idea

what would be nice though is some info on ano1 games, maybe a homepage or something, even if people have a story about them, anything to make it more tangible

I have to admit I did not expect the kind of responses that the post received. There were two results from the post- The Good- A nice influx of people who joined the team or interested in joining the team. The Bad- Rubbed some people the wrong way. I guess there is only one way for me to proceed and that is to defend what I posted and the responses.

If you responded in a negative way, chances you are an industry vet, who has work on one to many ports or license games. And you and your closest dev buddies have been getting together for a bunch of years to talk about the day that you are going to break off those chains and start your own company. Or you are just sick of hearing about this ‘guy’ who has a great idea for a game he has got a small team and is pining for some doe. In reality that guy is most likely you. And if ego dictates my actions, I would end up posting some dismissing posts about someone else’s efforts.

And yes we live in a fast pace, Coke-Cola 2, cheeseburgers for a dollar world. And after a while we stop listening when people say the next thing is going to be huge. That is fine, but that doesn’t mean its not going to happen.

I would like to formally apologize to anyone I offended with my post, but it was meant inspire people who are talented but cant get a decent job in the industry, I know too many personally, as well as the exact opposite.

At Ano1 Game we are developing something that is original. And we are trying to be the next big thing. And we are looking for creative people to help us get there. That was the purpose of the post. So you can flex your muscle at me, and you can laugh at my attempt at being sincere, but I guarantee that the day the game goes gold will be the same day the cynics update their resumes and email them the next morning.

I don’t mean any disrespect, that is just how I see it.

The Webpage is down right now.... but it should be up before the end of next week.

Thank you to all of you who have tried to keep an open mind!

You shouldn't need to apologize, don't understand how and why people found your post offensive, I just said what's on my mind that it sounded like one of those "we want YOU" commercials ;) hope you didn't take my post the wrong way, I am always sceptic to people who come here and say they have a new company, it gets old after a while you know? meant no disrespect, I would have joined but I've got way too much on my mind now, as I said before, you have the right spirit, good luck with your project
