wahey there back oh how i missed thee, hows everyone doing? we should ue this thread to say what we have been up to since threedy was down.

anyway ive been getting along with a lot of work for the company and the animation is coming along nicely. i have also managed to score a couple fo free tickets to an animation event that is local to me called Animex (http://www.Animex.net) check it out it sounds as though its going to cool this year with the new addition of the games section.

so what about everyone else?

I've been working my ass off as usual, doing 2.5 jobs & also started a personal project (character) that I think is going to be my magnum opus, if all goes to plan...:D

It's nice to be home :)

Yeah it sure is great to have the boards back and its all thanks to Shauns hard work. They seem to be running well on this new server too :)

Im afraid my time out was a little stressfull and still is with setting up the new office/studio but soon things will settle down and we can really get on with some great new features and projects we have planned for both threedy and 3dtotal.

Haha! Yeah, those last couple days..I was checking the forums a few times a day waiting for it to come back.

Theres one problem. the email i get saying theres been a reply tp a thread dosnt link to the thread i assume it still links to the old server still or somthing

I think I have fixed the problem with the auto emailer responder giving the wrong links to threads, if you guys could confirm you are now getting good links in the emails that would be great.

I seem to have a slightly different problem
Since the forum came back I don't seem to be able to subscribe to a thread.
Used to automaticaly subscribe to any thread I posted in.
and it looks like it still does it, but I get no emails, and my CP tells me I am not subscribed.

As a test, I went back and subscribed to a thread by clicking the "subscribe to this thread" button.
But the CP still tells me I'm not subscribed to any threads

Am I doing something wrong ?

I figured out why the old links didn't work: they were deleted :D

mmiller, that doesn't happen to me... I'm posting here because I got an email saying there was a reply to this thread :D And it subscribed me automaticaly :p

mmiller, give it another go and let me know if it works, I've updated the mail server config to route through the ip address so hopefully something will come of that.

things are working fine with my emails now:D

also ill add that that animex event i went to was cool we had talks from people from pixar & dreamworks and a few uk games companys got loads of cool information ill try and get hold of some of the videos that were taken and see if i can host them on my site there was loads of info on how they created finding nemo and how to get in the industry
