Chain for chainsaw [Archive]

I am trying to model a fully animatable chainsaw with maya 5.0 using the motion path. The first part of the chain works, but when I try to add another link, It just comes in the same place as the last one.

I don't know maya that much but... on 3dcafe.com there's a tutorial for max named "caterpillar tracks". I'm sure it can be replecated for use in maya.
