Okay I have been working on this map and I want to know what you guys think this is my firstpost ever.

Needs a smaller pic please - that's huge! Show it without the UV overlay & also mapped onto the head. that should make it easier to crit.

It's hard to judge if it's not on a model.
but it seems awefully blurry

Hi guys thanks for replying the reason its not on the head is because it doesnt fit right on his head so this is just to get the painting skills down and then I will make one on a head model. also what else do i need to add in detail other than lips wich I dont know how to do and eyebrows wich I cant figure out either.

Okay I got the uv figured out and here it is on my mesh whatcha think.

the eye area is WAY to dark lighten it up and put in some frekels and pimples stuff to make it more realistic like this one.

wow nice map I dont know how to make pimples or freckels do you. and I did lighten up that area.

Are you using Photoshop 7 to paint this map? A good way Iíve found to add random freckles and pimples in Photoshop is to select a relatively small soft brush and then in the Brushes palette add a lot of Scattering and Size Jitter and in Color Dynamics add a slight Jitter to the Hue and Saturation to the brush. Play around with these settings until you get the results you want.

it's definately too blurry and certain areas are too dark, he looks like he was beat up. Also the head itself needs some work.

Okay Ill give that a try with the bruishes and daniel this is just to sharpen up my painting skills so that I can paint a good map on a good model when I make one.

Okay I edited my map more with the eyes not being so dark and made some more reds into the map so it wouldnt be so plain skinned.

hmm, that'll prolly be too racoon like- the darkness around the yes should fade away more subtely in to the color of the rest f the face.

okay after a couple months I have come up with this stuff off a new model.
okay heres my maps you can also crit on those if you want.
I didnt think you guys needed to see the spec map cause its simple.
