Mod in serious need of 2d concept artist

hello Im currently working on a mod for ra2:yr called DBZ:Supremacy.....before you start going...mUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHHAAHAH...here me out.

Sure the game isnt relly that popular in the modding area more...now people flock to half life 2 and other things such as that..but this mod is just for fun...to have new ideas implemented into game play...like actually having planes dogfight...planes taking off like real planes instead of horizontally. All new units all new infantry, buildings, gameplay...I cant promise any money cause there is none:p ....but if you are just a 2d artist that wants his/her art to be made into 3d and you dont care about a mod then I can do that for you as long as you let me use the stuff for the mod...

You have to be able to possibly supply a front, top, and side view of your concept...its not nessacary but would be appreciated. I have a units list...of all the vehicles and infantry plus if youve played ra2 you would know what kind of buildings we need...construction yard, barracks, airport.....etc.....

Now I know when you saw DBZ you must think this mod involves goku and the crew...well it doesnt one bit...It involves the 2 armies from the cartoon...Red ribbon army and the Royal army. If you know how the buildings looked in the cartoon then you can tell the style we are going for...same goes for vehicles and such. If you need more info let me know...I will glady post it. Untill then rock on.

Don't feel disheartened mate. What you are proposing is failry niche, and as such you need to reach some very specific people. I suggest pitching it in a different way.

Basically you are pitching a vehicle and unit design project and you need an artist to work with you on it, just for fun.

Now, I know there are a lot of people out there who love designing vehicles and need the practice too. SO COME ON GUYS! This would look really good in a portfolio. If you wanna break into games then this could be the kinda practice youu need, and if you don't know anything about putting your models into a game, then you've got a guy here who does! Trust me, a well presented portfolio with this kinda work in it is exactly what games companies look for. It shows that you can work to a specific style and specification. You could even try working to deadlines and provide those details too. If you ain't working on anything specific at the moment then I reckon you all should work with Bullethead. There must be a few of you out there who could do with this.

hmmmm maybe its just the letters DBZ that hold everyone from replying in this thread....i think you should make something more "adult" (like a "Magic the gathering" mod etc).

hmmm i would make conzepts for you but at time im in 2 Big-Fat Modprojects (maybe looking good in a Portfolia :D )

Well, again the DBZ (Dragon Ball Z right?) could be another advantage. Because it is so sytlised, it may allow your models to stand out from most of the stuff we see with portfolios. Style is one of the biggest challenges in any design arena.

Thanks monte cristo..I was having problems trying to put that in the right words. When you look at this mod...dont look at the name of it. Look at what can be done. You dont have anything to base your drawings off of. All I want is stuff from your head. This would be a good chance to let the creative side in you out. Creativity is key and monte cristo is right..Just think.. All the 2d drawings you do would look excellent in your portfolio. And plus you get the added bonus of seeing your works come to life.

I have the first chapter in the story ready...its not the final version. It needs some revising but you can picture everything thats going on..Its gonna be the opening video to the mod as well. If you are interested and I hope you are I will send you the first chapter if my coder says its ok since he wrote and is revising it still. But please everyone reconsider and try something like this out. Yes I am looking for talent...someone with confidence in there drawing capabilities. But dont let that discourage you if you feel that your drawings arent good..cause chances are they are 2000 times better then mine and I will still like em. I hope everyone reconsiders.
