Well.... U've got a pretty clean mesh and it looks pretty good but u still need to work some with the edges.... Try to get a little sharper edges around the headligt for example... And also.... I think u have a to sharp edge at the "wheel bumper" (dont really know the name of the part"....
Go on and keep updating....
cant say much until see some close ups! :S
lookin good tho! :)

yeah, m8, i dont make the thing as a whole then cut into it, i create it all seperate, so i duplicate points from joins and then build each part up from that, so i got to make sure i use the right amout of points and that everythin is even, so it looks right :p

Hi, im havin alot of trouble with Cinema 4D's textures, i rendered my 1st car in Carrara v2, and got the result i was after because i was familir with the program, but ive only been using cinema4d since January, and cant seem to get the right effect, the 1 on the left is my 1st car modeled in cinema4d and rendered in carrara, but i cant get that effect in Cinema 4D any help, :) i really want to do this 1 all in Cinema, so i dont want to take the easy way out :D
cheers :halo:

lol mate, you could get a better c4d render in 5 minutes,
just turn on the options you want caustics reflections etc.
whack a nukei bhodinut shader on the car,
put a spot in over the scene , and a spec only point light top left.
map a studio or sky image to your sky or env. and hit render.
looks great almost with little effort. then you can start to work on it.
now your scene is way to overbright ,

cheers man, brilliant, ill start that right away, while i was waiting for a reply i could help but take it into carrara for a we try, here is what i got, carrara v2 doesnt support HDRI, thats why i want to get into cinema 4D, because i know, if used properly its a much more powerfull program,
thanks :halo:

here is a back view :)
C&C
Cheers :halo:
My crtics:
the materials need to be a bit more reflective...(have you tried out hdri's?)
plus the lights on the paint is really intense...
and dont you think, the curves on you car mesh
need to be more tighter?
great work though....
Keep posting :D

cool model, love the material but i think u should use hdri.... and there is something not that good in the car ,it's the door, the baggage and the hood , look at the pic i put ,u know it's looks kinda weird,i think u gotta chamfer it i think

Lookin' pretty good so far. You need to stretch it out lengthwise, though, it's way too short.
BTW, does Cinema4D have HDRI, or are all these guys just lucky ass Brazil users? I finally got 3dsmax6, but I still can't afford Brazil!!!
