modeling looks very good with the exception of the stairs, they could use some work
your main problem is lighting
it doesn't look real and some areas are too lit, you should work on your lighting, it'll definately lift the image a lot

Looks great to me.Great work dude:D
It's looking great apart from the lightning... Work on the light and it will look awesome
looks great, one suggestion thoug, id put a railing going down those stairs :) looks like you have it on the bottom ones, but soemone could take a nasty spill. You already know the lighting needs some work, and i hope you get a nice background image there too :)

i think you need something between the flooring(wood and the rest of the "floor"(white thingie) where the stairs are, i dont remember the name for it(not even in norwegian :o ). otherwise its lovely, i adore the furniture and carpet

Why does the carpet have a reflection? :s
Other than that it looks sweeet!

pretty sweet. Much improved.
BTW, i'm starting an indoor scene. What lighting setup did you use for this scene?

Nice, you know you should use glossy reflections on the floors, it'll give the scene more life (assuming that the wooden floor has a transparant coating instead of a wax coating (which would still reflect somewhat)).
hm.. nevermind, it looks like you already have those in the second image?

Good improvement from the first render. The lighting is great around the furniture area, but it gets worse towards the far left, where the tables and chairs are. The stairs really look unstable because the only support they have is right down the middle. Also, the railings going down the stairs, and across the gap in the floor dont look right...the grey rail part shouldnt be sticking up over the wood part. It wouldnt be very fluid if you were to use the rail when walking down the stairs, you would have to lift your hand up over them. Keep up the good work!

Im not sure if its just an optical illusion, but the ceiling looks too low to me.
Its seems like its not much higher than 7ft to my eyes
How high is it?

i can't find any crits...

you mean forced by a little voice in your head?
"you must give nice comment....you must give nice comment..."
:P
here is the same pic only the light blur at some parts of the stairs is gone...and it's a bit brighter...
As for the ceiling...it's normal height...I don't know how high exactly cause the file is at my work and I'm at home right now.
I'll check it monday...but believe me...it's the right size...as we build this houses with AutoCAD "blueprints" from the original architect.

OH MY GOD!
ur work with interiors is simply outstanding!!!
i am stunnnnnnnn... i really love the last rendering!

concept or images?
once again! i really love it! i wish i cud do sumthing
as good as this someday...
KEEP IT REAL!!!
please check ur DOF settings in the last image....
the carpet is too blured off as compared to the chair and
table!
Ferry P

that's because of the lowres texture on the carpet...up close it looks bad...but from further away it gets that warm cosy (don't know if this is the right way to spell cosy) feeling.
thx for your comment though!

well...it's modelled in 3ds max3.1, rendered in Vray free with a resolution of 3500x2625.
There is only 1 target direct with the multiplier on 3 and casting Vray shadows...
The enviroment color is light blue..
the ambient in the scene is almost black...R=12 G=12 B=12
I touched the whole thing up a bit in photoshop like: color, brightness, background...
Here are the render settings:

supurbe! love it... I do how ever feel that the dining room table and chairs (the ones on the left up the back of the pic) detract from the image... its like you havn't paid them any where near as much attention as the rest of the scene and it shows. Also is that a mirror on the very far left? if so, the lighting its reflecting makes it look like theres no roof. If its a doorway it looks as tho you would trip over the entrance. The reflections on the ground beside the lower stairs (or is they shadows?) look a bit odd and i dont like the railings but thats just personal choice so don't mind me :o
overall tho i must say it is very beautiful... thankyou for sharing it.

it's actually a window looking over the second balcony...left to it (wich isn't visible) is the door to that balcony.
The reason why you see a brick wall on that balcony is because the left side of it is placed directly attached to the following house.
I agree I could have spend more time on the dinerroom...but the project is done...Now I'm to busy with te current projects...
Maybe I take a look at it someday.
thx for the comments guys!
