I think that you can change some of your cuts, right now they are making parts of her body look square, like the boobs\breasts... I made some marks on your screen shots to showwhat I mean, hope you dont mind me marking up your work... Keep going I like this charecter... she is nice and orignal...

I think the model looks good but needs some work. The mouth looks very good (usually the corners of the mouth are hard to get right), while the eyes looks very strange. Looks like anime right now, and the rest of the model doesn't. I think you should make her have normal eyes, except if you try to capture the eyes of some underwater creature. Otherwise I see no point in making them so big.

Lookin a lot better niki... I think its time to give her some ribs... like others have suggested... that will help break up her mass and make her torso and hips seprate....

her profile looks very very good, but something looks strange in the front view. maybe it's just the fact that you didnt make the lips go to the inside of her mouth yet (this is why she has a straight line between the lips when it should be curvy) but I'm sure you are geting to it next. can you please show a 3/4 view?

I suggest you to not use simple noise map to get something good
try to unwrap it and paint it in photoshop.In the other hand if you want a realistic woman texture i've got something for you!:o

Hi niki, your stuff is looking really great. The only thing thats making me not 'believe' your models are the armpits, they're too 'joan of arc'ish. They don't flow like real armpits. You have two great references with you all the time, spend 10 minutes infront of a mirror studying how it moves and try to think of a mesh that will flow with it.

Heck, I've even drawn on myself about 3 times trying to figure out some mesh's :) Other than that, I love the rest of the model!

Very nice. Aldo you don't use the realistic look you do make your point. An angry siren I did not heard of, but why not? Maybe you will consider to add some membranes to the hand fingers.

Hey niki very cool... you definatly know how to model woman (most of your models i think are woman right?) anyws very cool, but if you wnat her to be BAD... make those gils (the purple ones) a deep dark purple... lik ei mean almost black, with a hint of purple.. and make it so her eyebrows (or whatver) are inward a bit to make her look even more ... BAD...

There's something about her eye color that makes the rest of the model seem fake, maybe the green is too...I dunno how to say it...in painting we call those colors "straight outta the tube". Maybe if the green was more natural, perhaps slightly lighter or darker it would be a better color. Very nice model tho.

awesome work niki, i agree about the eyes, i think theyre too vibrant compared to the rest of the model, if you could get some really real, beautiful looking eyes and have a dull colored body, it would look really cool. I hope you can do something to make the scales look super realistic with the specular lighting :) anyways, keep it up!

i didn't read all the previous thread, so i'm sorry if i make you repeat something that you already say, but ok first i like it very much it's verywell made, andi have some few question... did you thought about making her some kind palm hand, i don't know but for a mermaid, it seem better, no? and for you modeling did you use reference, i mean i for the upper part of her body or is it a sketch concept that you did?anyway, it's very nice i like it! :o
