I've recently been having some problems with the javascript from 3dTotal. Whenever I go there, the page loads fine, and everything shows up. But when I place my cursor over the menu bars (free stuff, forum, galleries, product, links, etc.) the pull-down menu does not come down. Clicking on just the menu options itself doesn't do anything either.
Also, whenever I check out the gallery (via the feature links from the opening page), the individual scenes/pictures doesn't pop up. The menu with all the thumbnails show up, but when I click the individual pics to enlarge, nothing happens.
I even downloaded the most recent javascript from java.com, but that didn't work either. In fact, I'm wondering if downloading from java.com had actually screwed up my java in the first place. Anyone have the same problem or got any ideas on how to fix this?

imo the problem is your browser... try to update .... what SO(operation system) you're using?

Hmm, I'm currently running XP Pro. I haven't updated my explorer or anything, but it's currently version 6.0.28.
The thing is, this happened to me when I was running windows 98 just last year.

but this happens only on your windows 98 or XP too??

well, on your browser, go TOOLS --> INTERNET OPTIONS and see if is there everything alright.... do have antivirus? what happens with you never happened with me..... very strange..... go to a forum skilled on hardware/software problems, surely someone will help you properly...

cheers

It amy be as simple as a couple settings in internet explorer. Make sure you have (under Internet Options/Advanced tab) Install on Demand (Internet Explorer) checked. Additionally, make sure you have a correct version of Java installed. One of the options about halfway down in the Advanced dialog box should be something for Java (Sun) "Use Java (insert version # here) for 'applet' ". If that's nowhere to be found go to their website and d/l it. You may have to restart a couple times, but it's only a couple minutes.
Since the fiasco with MS J++, Sun MicroSystems has been pretty tight with their software. If that's not installed you're probably using Microsoft's interpretation of javascript and applets, which as pointed out, is now fairly limited. If that still doesn't work or you have other problems email me at jlittlepage@mobius-solution.com

hey, ive got that exact problem myself, ive been trying to hunt down a solution for about a week now and cant seem to find one, the strangest part is that the exact type of menus all work everywhere else... and even stranger still is it was working a week ago, and i opened the site one day and it just wouldnt work... i know its unlikely, but i would wonder if some of the 3dtotal guys could have a look at the site and see if its anything on their end, cause im at a loss.

ok well i fixed it.. it seems like it was a problem in IE (internet Explorer) ill jsut add it to the list of things i dont like about MS :D i decided ide get rid of IE and try out opera, and it works perfectly so far not one problem and the browsing speed is indeed faster than IE's. so i guess i should actually say i didnt fix the problem, but i found a way around it. im happy, just thought ide post it here for the others having trouble.

I have the exact same problem. WinXP (latest), IE, Mozilla, Opera browsers...none of them work. Disable all anti-virus and internet security, check all internet settings, dl'ed the latest Java and it still doesn't work. I basically cannot access 3Dtotal.com from home. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I tried to email some of the threedy forum admins but haven't heard back yet.

Thanks, Keith

Hey, if you get a reply from them, can you post it up here? I still don't know what the problem is.
Thanks =)

Sure. I see Opera worked for Malkavia, but even that doesn't work for me. Its only happened in the last coupoe of weeks or so on my system. Anyone know any good forums that discuss this kind of thing?
