the sharp line the shirt makes around his neck gives me the impression of armour or solidness. You could either shallow the shadow or soften the edge.

I would like to see more detailed painted textures. The simple look is good for him so i would stay flat but it needs more color.

I like him. He could easily be a Jimmy Neutron character. Great work. Some spot textures is all he needs...something to make that shirt a bit more snazzy.
