i like this one! but there are some little things you could improve to make that scene even more convincing.
- the texture itself looks really good, unforunately the tiling is clearly visible.
- the model could be more "organic" perhaps. some edges (between head and body for example) are to sharp for my taste, but that could be my eyes fooling me :o perhaps you could post a wire so that it is easier to comment on the model :)

I think the snake looks quite dead, if it were looking at us with it's tounge out the picture would look much more interesting IMO.

Edit: I think the head should be in the centre of the image, no so close to the edge.

Maybe lift and turn the head so it's looking in the direction it's about to zig (or zag :))

the sand looks a little too bright and the snake a little too stiff. It looks like it's perfectly aligned on the horizontal plane too, which I don't think would happen in real life, in the sand.

I like the colors in the render but the front of the snakes curves are too drastic they need to be more gradual curves, also i think the composition needs work, with his head on the right side of the frame it leads your eye right off the page.

i like the colors, i think those are perfect. I think you should make the snake look less stiff, as said before, and have maybe his head sort of coming up and looking at the camera, i think it would look more interesting :)
anyways, nice image

ok.. there we go, I ve been trying to model the head of the snake (i ll change the composition a bit) because I got lots of critics about the head (it wasnt actually modelled before... lazy me! :D )
I ll change the texture of the body too.. I would really appriciate some help for texturing the head... suggestions and critics are always welcome..
thnx...

well well fellas!! After a pretty long time, I could find some time to work with my WIP.. I seem to model the head very well but really suck on the textures.. Changed the body and the composition of the scene (now sneak looks directly to the camera which i think much better than previous scene) what ya all think>? let me know...
Cheers

Well it still looks cinda like the ones in plastic you get in Toys R'Us, Maybe its the eyes.. Uhh and I just noticed.. Does snakes have two sets of fangs? DOn't they opnly have one in the upper part of the mouth? You should work some on the texture of the teeth aswell.. It looks like he just bleeched his teeth! but nice modeling!

Snakes only have fangs on the top and they have tiny little grippers on the bottom. The color of the inside of the mouth is off. depending on the snake but usually its light pink or white. And they dont normaly have red eyes.
