Hey there Mahammad the first thing i see is the mouth is not long enough ones mouth should come to about the middle of the eyes
Muhammad

thanx secobb!!
i will increase the size of mouth.
MrArmless
04-03-2004, 06:21 AM
I think you should work from the side of the head and start pulling back the vertices gradually, ie the face looks a bit flat and needs to be rounded. The nostrils need to be pulled out some and mouth is rather small. Keep it up!
Muhammad

Thanx everyone
Okay i have done whatever u both told me
UPDATE:

i think u want me to make the hair as well as smooth out the head.
Right? actually i m asking because i m weak in english
I will start the hair after i will make the head.
sorry i donno what a 3/4 render is. And u will soon get a wireframe render.

well, maybe don't make the creases so deep, and aren't they going in the wrong direction, should follow the loops of the head?? dunno
secobb
08-03-2004, 08:21 AM
Hey i think his upper lip is a little big. The wrikeles are to deap. You can make great wrikles with bump and texture maps and then its not so expensive when rendering. Unless he is not going to be animated then make it as heavy geometry as you want.
Muhammad
08-03-2004, 05:18 PM
should i decrease the deepness of the wrinkles??
hpslashluvr: sorry dunno what u wanna say?
secobb: okay i will adjust the lips and also will decrease the depness of wrinkles but i thinking of doing his body and then animating it.
if anyone know good texturing tut, i mean painting texture is PS
i stil can do a nice texture but can do a realistic texture.
okay!
thanx

the wire frame needs some attendtion some plys are 5 sided so try and fix those :o
Muhammad
09-03-2004, 09:35 PM
hi all
hpslashluvr : i have got ur point and i think i have seen this pic in a texturing tut. May be i m wrong, if u know any good tut of texturing so i can experiment out his head.
i m thinking of creating the wrinkles with bump map as they make it look good but that all will be after the body is made. And i m going to just remove the wrinkles
LIMBAUL_ABIGGOR: sorry i dont think that there r hexagons(four sided polys) we might can see it in this render(i can't see) but that will be because all the tweakingsrnt seen clearly.
hope u r getting my point.

maybe think about fixing these 5 sided and 8 sided ones hope it helps , i would look at a head tutorial and maybe do that the topolagy is a bit off:( , keep working though, and make us proud:o
hpslashluvr
10-03-2004, 04:05 PM
I don't think all of those are 5 sides or 8 sided, maybe the vertices are just hidden b/c he pulled them back.
Muhammad
10-03-2004, 09:59 PM
i think i m going to say what hpslashluvr has just said.
the edges there r hidden: i will try to give u a render soon.
Actually i have really decreased the wrinkles but havent removed them!
I have also adjusted the upper lip.
sorry to say but i forgot to render and my 3dsmax runs in winxp and now i m in win98.
see ya.

secobb
11-03-2004, 04:23 AM
Yeah Muhammad its starting to look really nice the wrinkles are more subtle now. Im not sure what it is but the lips are still weirds some how; but i cant figure out what it is.
Iron Boot
11-03-2004, 09:49 AM
The line between the lips is too straight If you have some magazines check through them also most people have tiny dimples at the very ends of that line when their lips are closed.
Also the lips towards the corner of the mouth curve in, check your top or bottom view you should have a slight "U" shape. Or atleast a shape hinting at a "U". Overall its a good job
but believable lips can make a character go a long way.
Muhammad
11-03-2004, 09:15 PM
secob: plz tell me what should i do with the lips
Ironboot: i can understand a little but still cant say anything
Ok here is what u can get as update:
i have made the smooth and create the sphere inside eye and textured it.
and adjust the lips. sorry i had done many things but i donno why that file wasnt working.
Doesnt matter.
the eyes r looking opposite to each other :D

Good work on the last update, a big improvement! The mouth looks much better now etc., needs a little more work though. The eyes needs to be improved, make sure you have a good reference picture, the eye is hard to get right.

13-03-2004, 02:17 AM
Thats pretty good muh, but you need asome helpw tih some stuff. Now the forehead is 2 big... now with hair it may look better, but to me it looks a bit bigger than it shoudl be. The eys are way to big.. or too much of them are showing.. look at some referneces of eyese dude.... myabe close the eyelids a bit, that would probably do the trick.
Overall its very impressive, ha ha i remember when you started here... big improvment buddy :)

i m thinking of increase the length of the edge and hide some eye balls using eyelids.

Hey Muhammad I haev been away from computers for a bit but here is the direction you should take the mouth. Notice the curves of the lips. I like that way you gave him a strong jaw line. I do agree that the forehaed is to large.

Wow Muhammad!
You are really improving mate. When I think back to your early efforts, you have come along very far in a short space of time, keep it up. You need to keep working this character, until we see a bit of personality coming through. This is still a fairly early stage so, I will see how it develops a little more before I add any real direct suggestions.
Oh yeah, the second one seems to have better cranial proportions.
Muhammad

14-03-2004, 02:35 AM
Well the first one looks as though his skull is overly wide, so the second is a smoother contour and works better in my opinion.
geoMan
14-03-2004, 04:24 AM
monte is right....i wud say that the upper lip is a bit thin....its well in shape....but if u make it a bit more to the up.....that wud be really nice!
Diego
14-03-2004, 04:27 AM
hi Muhammad :) great improvment you're doing there! but you have to remember one thing.. there's no such thing as a wrong nose, wrong eye, wrong head shape. of course you have to be careful so you don't do anything humanly impossible.. so just concentrate on achieving your goal (either a photograph, a sketch or your imagination) :)
and about those two images you post there, I didn't see any difference in the shape of the head.. but the part bellow the eye (don't know the name in english! hehe:D ) and it looks a little more pronunced in the right one
that's it :) there's not much to criticize, just keep it working and you'll have what you are looking for, good luck duude! :D
secobb
14-03-2004, 07:25 AM
I like the second one the nose is slightly wider right? Muhammad You nailed the mouth as far as im concerned. I do think that the skull is still a bit to large. I cant wait to see some rendred images.

secobb
15-03-2004, 04:52 AM
Muhammad I think the nose is looking good. The mouth could have a bit more curve in it but it is also lookign really nice. But with the combination of all those features it feels like he needs to have olive colored skin. Like an italin or a greek might have. I think the bump was a bit to strong before i like that you toned it down a bit. Layering bump maps always adds a nice effect.
Muhammad
15-03-2004, 09:02 PM

Iron Boot
17-03-2004, 09:58 AM
The ear seems like you modeled, attached and welded it to the head and left the rest to meshsmooth the side closest to the front of the face needs to be flattened and molded a bit. All the detail inside the ear is slightly wrong, take a gander at your year in the mirror or look at magazines. I get most of my references from nudy magazines...is that so wrong??? The ridge on the rim of your ear should curve into the middle, yours does it but the hard edge faces down rathe than up if you know what I mean. Someone post a pic of an ear and make this guys job easier... If not Ill post one soon. I like this thread Im going to give it a 4 for progress
secobb
17-03-2004, 12:29 PM
Hey Muhammad - This pic is what i think you should do to your model. The ear is a little small and could use more mesh detail, but it is not entierly necisary to add that in the mesh because you can get alot of deatial out of a texture. Also the nostrils are odly shaped. But its looking really nice.
Muhammad

The nostrils need work and I think the material is a tad bit too splotchy.
There's nothing wrong with posting something if you are going to comment on your own work, but dude guy, look at the ratio between the number of your posts that are mostly one-liners asking for crits - that and the number of posts that other ppl have given you. It's only going to turn ppl off if you just post to ask ppl to reply. And if you write in all caps. Just a tip. No offense intended man.
