View Full Version : A modification for max payne 2 needs your help.

I and my friend FMW been working on a horror mod/TC for Max Payne 1. But then MP2 was out and MP1 was too old...
So I started workin' as soon as MaxEd was released.

Here's the idea:
The mod will be something between Resident Evil and Painkiller (I've just finished the demo - AMAZING!!! ), but with a stronger storyline - Main characters will be a young woman and her friend. (don't have the names yet - if you have a good idea, post it!) When she was young, her mother was killed just in front of her eyes by a mysterious man. After many years her brother - archeologist - goes to a castle in Czech republic where a great discovery has been found... After several weeks, he writes to his sister. In the letter stands some people of his group have suddenly dissapeared and he thinks something is watching them every day and every night. So she tells her friend to go with her. When they arrive the whole village is abandoned and in the castle tower they found only the archeologist's camp with nobody around...

Enemies will be mostly zombies and skeletons with some deamons. I want some nazi zombies (During WW2 were in Czech many nazi paranormal division groups...) with MP40's. The modification will be called "Hell Unchained"...


Another good note is the levels are 90% done.Weapons 70% done. The models on the other hand are still being worked on.I am really a novice when I comes to modeling mostly because I don't have the proper tools in 3ds max.The help we need is only with parts of models like detaited heads maybe some upper body work.I can do the rest I am really good at making legs and shoes.I just need another modeler to help me with the heads and upperbody.Here are some of the models that are either done and still need work.

Models being worked on are:demons 40% done, nazi zombies %80 done,normal zombies 0% done.Main characters 60 % done.Skeletons 80 % done.

Here is a pic of the mainguy character.He just needs to be textured I can handle that part .His head might need to be redone though.

Nazi zombie almost done but I need some feed back and some help to make it look a bit more scary.

Here is the wolfman.He isn't done yet I need to model some legs for him.I need some help with the claws though.

This woman will have a roll as a tag along that helps the player through the modification.The model is done I just needs texture.

1 word, WOW!

Those models are goreous dude, especially for a mod (how much time did those take)

You will definatly get some help, maybe not here... but around you will. That idea is awsome.

So, are you locked in a castle? cause that would be SO sweet!


Anyways, yeah you guys rock, if i wasn't working on a project, i would definatly work with you guys. If i see anyone looking to do a project or help, i will lead them to you. Brilliant idea, sounds very fun and scary.

One more question, are you going to make a new bone structer for the zombie's, cause they won't have the same structure as Max Payne does (ha ha)

Aslo will you be using rag doll, cause blowing a zombie right in the head, and seeing him fall of a stair rail or somthing, would be sweet!

i think that gurl model looks great and u dont nead any help there :] Thought that stuff looks really hi poly :/

(...and btw you have to use editable mesh and not tha editable poly to find out the correct poly count)

yes it is sorta hi poly but they will do fine in max payne 2.i got two models to help me out.our team needs a animator tho really bad.anyone know how to animate pretty well here?
