Hi there!
Iīm modelling a triceratops. Itīs done in Maya, using sub-ds and polygon tools.
The beak and horns are temporary; Iīll redo them entirely. Iīm working now on the folds and shapes of the skin, particularly on the side.
Any critics are welcome! :)

IDownupI : Thanks!:D
Tonight , a huge facelift. Iīve found some new references, and remodelled the head proportions (hope itīs more like it).
The rear leg is awful, but now I have to sleep!

indeed, very impressive model, you must have a good puter to model like that in subd, mine would have a fit
nice work! but this is a pretty young one, isn't it? the head is pretty big for a triceratops, but maybe this is what you wanted to do, really well modelled!

DanielB: Thanks man! My machine isnīt special at all, but Iīm patient...
Neox: You were right, thanks for the advice! I reshaped the head for - I believe - a more correct proportion for an adult triceratops. Hope itīs better now...
IDownupI: Thanks a lot! If everything goes well, the next update will be with a textured model...

Yeah! cool model! Indeed the rear legs must be bigger/fatter.. They should contain more muscle.
Is it true that Maya is slow when you model such stuff using subdivision?

ShinDig: Thanks! Glad you like it...
Cyrenn: Thanks a lot - the triceratops was one of my favorite dinosaurs as a kid, too!
hells angel: Thanks for the crit - I donīt hate you, you were right! I worked a little more on the rear legs, hope itīs better now.
spliney: Thank you! Hope you like these legs better. Maya is indeed very slow in sub-ds. Actually, after sometime I started using regular polygon/proxy smooth on this guy.

nafi : Thanks, I`m glad you like it!
Well, these are the first texture maps. Iīve painted them inside Maya - Iīll update them soon, in Photoshop. I hope to better define the bump maps, and create also new texture maps, for specular, diffuse, etc.
