Hi, this is my third F1 model. I don't have the best references for this particular car, so it's mostly eyeballed. Feel free to pull it apart :D

awsome model indeed :D Do you use prints for modeling the engine or use some imagination and refrences?? Also if you dont have any prints say you make the object to long and it doesnt look correct. Is there a way you can scale it without scaleing the whole object?? Thanks Keep us updated on the model.
I think you upload your pics to a website, then wheny ou post them see were you can choose you text size.... right under it there is a button "IMG" selete that, then insert the website link that the image is on..

Thanks for the replys, guys.
Kujoe - I uploaded the pics into my webspace and then used the IMG vB tags when I posted, I just used three tags, one after the other. I think there's probably a limit to how many you can post in one message, though.
R2Wrace2win - Thanks for the kind words. I don't have blueprints for either the car or the engine, but I have quite a lot of reference material, thankfully the DFV was a common engine used in the late '70s. It's not 100% accurate or anything, but it's the best I can manage with the material I have and my lack of patience :) Most of the engine isn't visible when placed in the car, so I'm not too bothered about every bump and bolt on the engine block - as long as its size looks ok and the major details included.
I use Cinema 4D to model & render - you can scale in each individual axis relative to the model or the global environment, so if one part is too long, but has the correct width & height, you can scale one way without affecting the other dimensions. You can also adjust the axis centre and scale relative to that. I also do a lot of manual vertex shifting to get it looking as best I can estimate.

AMAZING detail on the engine! Hopefully you can texture as well as you can model, if so this will be a damn nice render... keep it up, this is awesome!

lol...well, I'm still a noob, but I'm pretty happy with the way this is coming along so I'll try my best. There's a couple of renders of my previous F1 car here (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=107332)
The Arrows' bodywork is a gold metallic colour which I'm sure is going to cause a few headaches. Thanks for the encouragement, though.
