I really like the texture on it, almost as if you could cut yourself on the sides :)......I can't really give tips i'm only a beginner. How did you get the texture for the keyring?
No greasy ****.. Only 1 fingerprint and that should go on the middle rectangle piece..
totally agree with chan.
only figerprint would make it look wicked!
nice modeling though...
btw, i think you have missed out the ring where the keys go
it should be a ring not a perfect circle (loop)
i hope u understand what i am trying to say...
neways nice modeling and text. so far... lookin forward to this :D

fingerprint -
take a pic of a finger or fingerprint in photoshop,
desaturate the image.
then go to adjust level and put the righ one left - till the image is black and white only ,. contrasty .
but still with some variation in greay.
then go to channel panel -
then control and click on the top channel
create a new layer. and then hit d - then hit alt + backspace.
now save as a tif . with alpha . the option is on there.
now open max . and set this as your diffuse map .
and then hit invert in ps and save agai
then set that as your alpha or opacity map
= nice fingerprint.

Thanks for the reply, All:) !!
camalot: Thanks for your kind comment:o , mate. for the keyring I apply gradient map both for diffuse and reflection map, inside the gradient that apply on diffuse I also apply again a gradient map at the black color blank slot:) .
Chan: Thanks for your suggestion:) , we'll see about that later, I plan to give a lot of fingerprint on it:D .
g69: Thanks for your comment, dude:D . about the ring, I understand what you're trying to tell me, and actually it's not the loop circle, I'll make it more clearer on the next render;) .
cgstripe:wow:D ,Thanks for your tips, I'll try it later and post an update. Thanks again:) .

Looks nice, the middle section.. is that chrome? if so chuck a HDRI on and make a wooden texture to give it a feel that someone's left it on their table-top or sumtin :D

the key chain is good androgs....but i am afraid the fingerprints have to be a bit more subtle.....like...u better be using opacity for it.....partly visible from one area...and visible from the other....change its visibility......all the rest is going good!
