i have made a simple ice scene that will be on the front of my website, but to make it look better, i want the ice to have caustics. i am using the brazil light to light the scene..only one cos i dont need to it be complicated, but i think it would look better with caustics. the ice is my own texture, using non of brazils materials.

Looks nice..
I can't tell if those numbers/symbols on the side of the cube are relevant or just a refraction effect or whatever.. Is that a "9" on the second cube? :)
If I might suggest..have a look at this (http://www.highend3d.com/3dsmax/shaders/) CgTalk shader library visualboo put together. It was a pretty slick ice shader in it. =]
Ohh, and you'll need the blurbeta plugin pack for your version of max to use some of the shaders.
With the caustics..are you just having trouble configuring the settings or what?

with the caustics, i have no idea what to do. i can do it by using the brazil csg server ( the ground plane) and brazil glass, with the brazil lightm but i cant do it with my own materials.
yes its a 9 on both ice cubes. its going to be something for a website called ice 9 so i thought id put a 9 on the side of it!
