This is my actual WIP. A Mix of a Satellite and a Space-Station.
Its a 170m long and has a width (including the solar-panels) of approximately 230m.

There are 2 Bays for dropships, a third bay for repairing the dropships, such as 4 bays for The Escape Pods.

Taking his Energy of a Nuclear Reactor ,implemented in the Satllite´s "bottom", the Satellite is able to hold its Position in the Orbit for a period of 20 Years.

The Solar-Panels are the Satellites Energy-Backup-System, so the Satellite can be kept "running", when the reactor is getting repaired.

facts:
70K Polys for the Satellite itself
40k for the Escape-Pods (4)
50K for the dropships (2)
120K for Nurnies an other Detailsets

Modelling Time: 7-8 Hours

Really good work!

Is the earth a background image or a sphere with textures? I agree with goose, an animation would be really cool! :ufo:

yepp.. the earth is a textured sphere.
I used the BlueMarble textures (8K). Just got the 22k textures, but my cinema seems like not wanting those

Really cool work! Detail is awesome!

But you have to animate it, it would be great to see this little thing moving around the earth...or maybe around another planet :ufo: :ufo:
