I'm trying to create the effect of a piece of timber getting crushed in a vice so as the vice tightens it starts to splinter into pieces. I'm new to Cinema 4D, but I haven't found anything while trawling to help me on this one. I've seen the effect lots of times in 2D animation and I have some idea how create a crumbling effect with stone, but the nature of wood makes things a lot more tricky.
