Too much visual art here.........you have to work your art of persuasion:) It can be done.....all it takes is the right........gift.......do the dishes a couple times and go up to your parents and say "can I have 10,000 dollars?" :D Guarenteed victory;)

Heres mine, its a 1992 Oldsmobile 88 Royale. That thing on top is the solar panel (seriously), I have to put it on top of the car when its parked or the battery dies. The car also dosn't start when its raining. Oh, and the inside smells like vomit whenever it gets hot outside.

@-En-
I used to have to do a similar thing on my last car (yes I had a solar panel to change my battery too). The battery would constantly go flat, and after 2 years I was still none the wiser as I had it checked and did charge correctly when the engine was running and the battery was actually changed twice…
In the end I found out by accident that it had a bad earth. Check your earthing strap! It should be a kind of braided metal cable going from your engine and attaching to the body inside the engine bay somewhere. I still don’t exactly understand the physics of the problem, but all I needed to do was undo it clean it up and make sure it had a good contact then put it back and it was fine after that.
This will also effect starting the car. Ie. Its much harder to start it with a bad earth.
1963 Stingray. :D :D My pre-midlife crisis.
Actually I only own the Matchbox version right now, but someday I'll get the real one.

a) this is an English speaking forum, please comunicate in that language and that language only. That we often tolerate limited conversations in other languages does not effec this.
b) John Silver, your German is awful, also I will not accept any swearing here, even if you are unable to speel it correctly.

Hold on everyone, Im going to get us back on the tracks!
Well, I already posted my car, but seeing as most people are posting what they are going to get. Heres what I am hoping to get sometime this summer. Not this exact one, but one similar - and not white :)
Can anyone recognise what it was before modding?
Ok, this is the one I want, tho which one I'm not sure. Either the H/Bar or L/Bar

Not sure what the difference between those 2 are, but for sure, the back seat on one of those can be folded up into a small backrest;)...
My dad has a nice Yamaha 250, I'll get a pic of that along wit my bike if ya like:). In 5 yrs time, I hope to have a Harley.

Ok, how would you "drive yourself to death"??
I don't like racers that much, prefer the cruiser style bikes. Not leaning forward on it. Not that comfortable leaning fwd with a big belly.

Hmm, what about starting a thread to just post cool pictures of cars. I think that would be kinda fun.
Anyone second the idea?
lilCara
07-04-2004, 08:12 AM
Ironbuket, I "second" the ideea.. but it would be so predictable... ppl would just post lamborghinis, ferraris, porsches and so on... Plus a thread like that has already been made, don't have the link tho...
Anyway, here's my ride. Hope you weren't expecting to post a real car, I'm 14 damn it! I ain't got one... yet! :D
Actually it's a toy car from when I was little... I photographed it cuz I thought it was cool :D

What about only modified/concept cars then?
I think I had that car too when I was ickle. Cept mine was a kit and I never got around to painting it and the wheels didnt go around and kept breaking off if I pushed too hard on it as I drove it along the floor :D

well...If i look back at how dangerous i drove my scooter (tuned it till he reached 130 km/h)...always pushing to the limit...taking very big risks.
I think when I have a motorbike I will also drive like a madman...trying to get the maximum out of it.
build wheelies and stuff.
And that can be very cool, but also very dangerous.

I don’t know how it is in other countries, but when I went on an intensive course to pass my unrestricted bike licence (Ie. To ride big engine bikes). The instructor was constantly telling us that we are expected to accelerate to maximum speed as soon as possible and overtake whenever possible. He called it “progress”. We were warned that failure to show “consistent progress” or not riding at the speed limit during our test could see us failing.
I couldn’t help but realise that we being taught to basically drive like we were on a race track all the time. I can still recall him getting us to do stuff during our training which I still wouldn’t have the guts to do now. Like going around a blind chevroned corner at about 70mph
I don’t know if this is unusual, he did also teach bike racing technique at Donington so that might have had something to do with it :)
