I think I have noticed that Tom has special love for cartoony pieces. And this one could make it to the gallery if u just did a nice face shot fully textured and such. But don't..lol do the whole thiog. Nothing to crit modelwise. Very good use of polys. He just sparkles with character :)

YOU HAVE A VERY GOOD MODEL HERE, I THINK YOUR DRAWING IS GOOD, BUT YOUR 3D IS BETTER.
ARE YOU MODELING THE POSE??? I THINK YOU SHOUL MODEL FIRST IN A STAND POSE AND THEN YOU CAN RIG YOUR MODEL FOR A LATER ANIMATION SHORT, PLEASE I THINK ALL OF US ARE WAITTING FOR AN ANIMATION.
:D
good point 3D mind. i would love to see this guy jumping around!!
Yeeeez, an animation would be the sugar and cherry on top of a big big big ice-cream :D....
hope you do so....

You're using photoshop (or equivalent) only for texture painting!! Wicked cool. Great style and the bumps look awesome.
Check this out:Adobe Photoshop Normal Map Pluggin (http://download.nvidia.com/developer/NVTextureSuite/Photoshop_Plugins_7.83.0629.1500.exe)
Its a free photoshop pluggin' from Nvidia. It will convert any bump map into a normal map. I've found it quite usefull. Either way, keep up the great work. :)

well i can honestly say your bump mapping is excellent, very well painted. i am intrigued to follow this thread.. it would be interesting to see what normal mapping would bring to it, or using the bump for displacement... it might be beneficial but it looks fine as is..

Brilliant job, greatwork on the texturing. Im assuming the bump maps are either 16 or 32 bit to keep that level up without creating a 'gravely' bump map, I could be wrong...LOL

Man I'm really enjoying this guy!! I keep trying to think of some way to impove it. It's kinda hard, he's soooooo good. I finally thought of one though. How about adding some blood to the corner of his mouth. I think it would work for him, and it would break up the symetry a bit. Great job though man. :)

NIce.. and different concept..
I loved it...
Thats amazing work! :D
What I didn't expect when I opened the thread was to see a spider type form (without the 8 legs bit) as a vampire. Thats just a great concept!
I'm amazed by your bump mapping skills too! Are you unwrapping or something and then painting the bump over it, to make it easier to reimport back?
