Following a request from a client in England, here's the first of two futuristic F1 car designs I've produced in Bryce, with no post work. Final rendering for the project may employ soft shadows, or in fact may do them in Photoshop to save doubling the render time.

Design makes use of rule changes to allow 6 wheels for maximum mechanical grip, and an etched metal alloy that provides greater stability through the air at high speed - similar to the way a golf ball is dimpled to help it fly straight. Well, that's my theories and I'm stickin to them!

looks great... but theres something wrong with the extra wheels... like, wouldnt it have a wider turning circle with a wider wheel base to follow the steering? beats me, teres just something wrong with a race car with 6 wheels lol, reminds me of a Ute i saw with my mate that we mae fun of lol

Good point Malkavia. Mind you, Tyrell did a 6-wheeler with Jackie Stewart that won a race, so there has been something to the concept. Also, I guess to get round the turning circle problem you have slipped diffs and a small measure of integrated steering on the rear wheels to tighten the turning.

Nice to be compared to a ute as well!!! P'raps I could throw a tray on the back with a beer crate and barbed wire in it :)
