Hey all, as you can see i'm brand new to this forum, just would like to say hi to everyone. Also, I have a mech i'm making that is loosely based off Matthew Hansel's "Junk Made" , It inspired me to make a mech i've always wanted to do.

Thank you, as for future plans, just try to get the arms and head finished asap and then figure out how to texture it correctly. Also am open to anyone who would wanna help animate it, as I have never animated anything in maya so I don't have a clue. Will post an updated pic soon with hopefully the head finished.
UPDATE edit : I am stuck, tried 5 different types of heads, and none looked good! They sometimes would be to round for the body, or look like a pot turned upside-down with eyes, I just can't get it, anyone have any ideas to help me out a lil plz :) Would appreciate it. Oh, also, am thinking of maybe doing a c3po kind of head, the one in the newer star wars movie, as in episode I where you can see inside his head, and the wires look like his brains etc.

Looks nice ... and heavy.

Here are some more pics :) Sorry, been busy with it, finally found a good head I liked, it's sectioned together so I couldn't mirror or copy and paste one side of it, all done by hand. Enjoy.

C&C please
EDIT: The ball inside the mechs' head is the guidline for what i'm going to do, kind of like c3po in episode 1 where it's full wires, you will only be able to see wires and tiny parts there, but not the ball, just in case you were wondering. Oh, in case you wanted to know, here are the specs of the model as of now.
Verts: 15778
Edges: 31609
Faces: 16140
UVs: 17776

update, now the lower body is fully finished minus the arms, also the head is done for now. Just added wires and some accesseries to make it look like it had stuff. Tried adding a bunch of wires but it looked more like hair than wires so just went with this. Oh, also this is my first ever render with shadows ;)

yeah... you're on the roll here ... I have a question though since you mentioned C3PO .. is your mech by any chance has the same function? or is it for combat purposes?

Well I was thinking more of a helper kind of mech, he's definately not suitable for battle as he's pretty much a wimp and made from junk :) C3po was kinda my reference for the head.
