I had finished this work 4 months ago.
this is a study for a larger work.
modeling and rendering with 3dsmax.

Wow, that's so realistic! I love the way you captured the shifting metalic sheen on the beetle's shell... great texturing. Excellent work!

my dad is a biologist and i've seen tooons of beatles close up, and let me say this really is a convinving image. the only thing that gives it away is the antenna.

Wow!
the model is nice!i love the model and enviorments.but i think the body texture is not suitable.i think if u change the bump quantity and change the reflections of the body,it will look so REALISTIC:d

Anyway,Amazing.

Definitely amazing, the texturing is incredible...how did you do it? is it hand painted in photoshop?

yes, I made texture in PhotoShop with mouse.
It was so hard, but great fun!

that's even hard with a Wacom !! :roll: I can't imagine how you must have struggled with a mouse !

what about the hairs? is it a plug in or modelled separately ?
