I think that my divx plug is giving me trouble. I'll try to check it out later when I'm on another machine that Divex works on.

i've overwrite the files with longer animation - :P movement is still duff but will work on it - the last 5-10 sec i haven't done the movement yet - but there's still few more bittys at the end when he'll shake it.

there'll also be back singers too to be added in:P hehe

i really felt bad after watching this and not posting what i thought well first off the animation needs work there are some jerky like movents when he bends his arm the model folds its doesnt lip sync well all the lip movement seem repeative the person that was watching behind me thought it went in to a loop try with a better model a human one watch yourself do the same movements in a mirrior it helps alot.

omg ... how did i do it..

6 step of happiness in max

okey..

1 - Once you've created a nice head with a neutral expression on his/her face,.

2 - make a clone. name it something like "A I" (this is going to correspond with sound of AI, E).

3 - add a morpher modifier to the original head.

4 - take the clone "A I", and start shifting verts around until it looks like the face is pronouncing that sound. ***It's easier to edit if you hide polys in the areas you dont need to work on (ie the brows, back of the head, neck etc etc)***. (Dont need to edit the browes or eyes, as these can be made in the same way later, and animated independently from the vocals.)

Oh max tutorial should have reference of the expression of each vocal sound..have a look in there.

5 - when you're happy with the shape, select the original head and go into the morpher modifier. click the first empty slot in the channel list rollout. then click "pick object from scene" in the channel parametres rollout. then click the cloned head "A I". then slot in the channel list rollout in the morpher modifier will change from saying empty to saying "A I". Adjust the value to see the head morph into that sound.

6 - select and hide the clone. now repeat these steps for all the other vocal sounds, as well as for blinks, expressions, smiles, browes etc etc etc.

Once you have done all that you can go ahead and animate it.

hope it helps

I't's cool, cute.
So I have a question, do you have a Dundee accent?
I think that's awsome.

treefrog - la_chix doesnt have a dundee accent :p more american-ish i guess. she'll probably kill me for saying that....heheheh.
would i be right in guessing you might be from dundee, or maybe edinburgh? i'm just assuming that coz of the "GTA" mentioned in your location bit :p lol...am probably wrong tho
