Hi, I saw a few online portfolio of an artis an I noticed that they were mantioning about corrective morphs use in Max to help them riggiding and deform their model better. Do anybody know how to use this corrective morphs feature in max or do you have a turorial site to show how it works? and can it be applied in bibed system? Because I realy need to learn this in order to make my character deform and bend much better....pls help me.

If I understand correctly what you're describing, you need to have some scripting knowledge to pull this off.

I don't know of any step by step tutorials on this subject but there have been several discussions on it.

See this thread for the info http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92281&highlight=rigging

Ok..guess the corrective morphing is a little bit too advance for me..I just stick with the normal skinning and physique first then jump to the advance stage...Thanks anyway.

Look up joint angle deformers and morph angle deformers. The first one adds a lattice that you can use on the joint to tweak the deformation when it bends, the second one allows you to set up morph targets to morph to when a predefined angle of rotation is reached.

yah, I have used the angle deformer and its ok...about the morph angle deformer I think that is more useful to me but I haven't yet learn anything about it. Its there a good tutorial about that?
