well, started several prjects which i all lost interest in, to finally be struck with modelers block,
which was good, it got me sketching again which finally got me modeling again,
and here it is, about 60% done, most work has to be done on the front so ill post a shot of that later :),...

Hey Sabaman your model really looks great and clean, what else can we expect from you.
The only thingy i don't like that much is that "spoiler" above the backlights.
Me is curious to see how the end result will look like.

this thing is stunning btw, fresh design, everything looks coo, just make us a PROPER INTERIOR for once :D :p
oh and throw us a 3/4 front angle as well :)

wow...i don't dislike the back no more...it looks cool with the rest of the car.
But now I don't like the front too much.
(dutch) het ziet er een beetje te "lomp" uit..dat wat ik heb aangegeven...de rest van de voorkant is cool"

it looks like you are really talented in designing stuff, I have seen your previous cars, you really got good style and I like it, there are of course always few things that you can improve on like for example you got sharp edges accross the side of the car and it is on most of the cars the same thing. I think you should go with a bit smoother edges...also like someone before me said the front needs a bit better design..but back is apsolutly great. I got a question for ya. Do you draw your cars before you model them ..cause if you do I would be interested to see how good you can draw. Keep us updated...great job!!!

Ok.. So when people ask for comments or critique, we are only allowed to praise the car?

ef, imma see what and if i can do something bout it,
figo, lol, thanks man,
slavke, ive attached the sketch, you will noticed that the overall design is the same but alot has changed,
hmmmm, smoother edges, you know, mostly in renders the edges hardly visible thats why i make em very easy, but in my next models ill pay more attention to it, thanks man,
now guys, lets not make this a flaming thread :)....

eh man I got to ask you for a favour...can you post a close up screenshot of the mesh like shown on this picture below. I always get problems getting this part of the cars smooth as yours...it screws it up everytime I sharpen the edges..when bumped inside mesh joins with the outside...really tricky part for me.
sabaman
20-04-2004, 06:57 AM
well, i can post a mesh, however this is all rhino nurbs so it has nothing to do with smoothing,...

i refused to make a new interior, requires too much of my poor cpu and im just lazy hehe so dont pay attention to it,

thats much much better now, its funny how everycar when you put just a bit more detail to it makes it look much better. I like your touch on the lights. Great job man I just wish I know rhino as good as I know 3D max. Can't wait to see the textures on.

LOVELY, looks great dude. I wasn't sure about the front either, but you have done such a nice job on the back and sides, that i thought i would only post when it looks more finshed, and i am glad i did, because i love the front of the car now.
What i really like is in certain bits i think you can see small things that look alittle bit like a couple of super cars on the road now, but then you take it in a whole different direction!!
Do you design cars for a living??
If not you should look into it dude, i think you could do very well out of it, you have a great talent!!
p.s damn i love clay renders!!

thanks alot guys (and girls if any)
rafG, do you mean the holes in the breakdisc, if so, they are just booleaned out, or do you mean the spokes of the rims, cuz those are just splitted out, extrude and a small fillet,
Shindig, i dont design cars for a living, however, ofcourse i hope to do that some time, thanks alot man,...
where are those crit. guys :P LOL
nice work man its just amazing :D
