hi everybody
SOS
please help me
a problem great !
1. smoke rising from the brazier
2. I want that the curling smoke should turn into 'letters'
I tried giving path by making letter to the smoke but it is not
coming neatly and when I try giving text-spline (font) then
because of the closed path it becomes distorted in both the
cases
3 YOU must be knowing how to transform the smoke into neat
lettering, please help
regards

hey there
what you could try is a particle array that you link up to the extruded text.
the particles will then emit from the text. if you then mess around with the settings to make it look like smoke, you can then make everything play backwards in post which might look cool, the smoke will appear to come together into the text.
just an idea
hope that helps

I like the particle idea but have them come from an emmittor and then have them attract to the lettering and gather around it. Add a little wind or something to keep it looking mysticl and bingo.....

if you're using 3d studio u can use Digimation's Particle Studio or Discreet's Particle Flow to script the particles to be emmited then form around an object

sorry for delay guys,
I had tried with extuded text linking it to the partical emitter but it seems like it is coming from the text.wherease I want the smoke is coming from the fire and it is changing the form in to text.
not coming out of the text.
I 'm using 3ds max. I've loaded 3ds max 6 version just now and trying to get used to it.
I think partical flow seems good idea but how to do it don't know, may be reading tutorial will help me to see the new features in 3ds max 6. if any new idea there suggest me.
