This was an attempt to recreate a photograph I found on the web.
My main goal was to create convincing materials using procedurals. I used a little rust bitmap on the Whisk though...What do you think?

like the image, but i think the image has excessive noise!
The steel wires are intersecting at the top!

Do you mean the Egg texture and the metal texture are a little too noisy? That's exactly what my wife said....mental note...listen to your wife...

cool image, must be a bit easier to do that in 3d than in real life :)
and btw... are you hanging the MSN guy?

try to change the light type...for blury shadows... add some yelow color.. and change the position to litle lef and down... and hardnes for shadow..
The wire parts are not conected at the top ...

You can do omlet with scrap... :)
