Unreal 2004 editing

Hey,

I was wondering if there is a way to make maps for it without having UT. But you need the game with the editor to make it work i assume. Somebody know if i can download the demo and try out the editor?

I guess i just buy it to strugle a month witht he editor and then leave it :D

i dont think you can use the editor without unreal tournament 2004. i think the editors great and i really dont think you willjust buy it to strugle a month witht he editor and then leave it :D because i've been using it for more than a month and its easy to get to grips with (with the right tutorials).
there may be a third party level editing tool out there, i guess youll just have to look.

Well thnx anyway, I am realy considering buying it but it's still a bunch of money :D. And if i make a good map is it easy to show it to people? Or just post it somewhere between the 1000's?

I did some realy nice ones with quake and some CS maps so i hope i can make even better ones with the unreal engine.

yeah, if you do make a (good) map (:D) its easy to show someone else. to show someone who has ut2k4, you could just send them the map file and they'd play it. or to someone who doesnt have the game, you could just take different screenshots of the level in the editor.
