dude, that talk about him being a ladies man, I could actually see that in front of me, pretty much every guy can be a ladies man if he has confidence, women respond to that, if you like yourself, and show it off like hell, that's attractive, besides girls don't want pretty boys, they want cool guys that are fun to hang out with, I know this all sounds a bit cliche but it couldn't be more true

oh and to call yourself a geek is the exact opposite to what's above...if you have an interest (computers in your case), don't shut yourself in and go all "I'm a geek", I have an interest in computers among MANY other things, I ain't a geek for that, now am I?

Dr.N not that I'm going to be some know-it-all relationsship expert or anything, but as [r3] says, you really just have to go for it, you can often tell in a girls eyes if she wants you or not, so looks for that ;)..

and if she's not interested, don't take that personally, you might just not be her type...that classmate thing is sensitive but see it this way, if she rejects you, you haven't lost anything, cause you never had her...talk to her, I made that mistake once and I still regret that, even when I was together with my ex I thought about that girl that I never talked to :S trust me, just go for it and be confident, and a bit cute if you can, they just love that ;) peace bro and good luck!

and one other funny thing is, when I talk to those who mostly sit quiet (for instance computer "geeks") wow, it's like a great break from all the bull**** that are coming out of other people's mouths, sure they can talk a bit TOO much about computer games but they're generally pretty smart and have humour so if they were a bit more social they would be really cool friends to hang out with...

it feels like a waste really, only place they really talk is online over the internet :S

maybe the fact that they're glued to their computer a lot of time might let you think that they 're not very social....but indeed i know lots of 'geeks' who likes to hang out and they live exakly like any others.

true and I wasn't reffering to those, trust me I know, I go to a school with like 40% computer people (worst choice of my life perhaps :)), so I know exactly what kind of people you are talking about but that stereotype is more common than you might think;

talked to a friend in school today and when I mentioned this "computer geek" I'd been talking to, my friend went like "who?", and funny thing is they've been in the same class for 3 years never said a single word to eachother, he didn't even know his name for gods sake

but of course you're right, I just re-read my post and it seemed like I was talking about ALL computer "geeks" which I wasn't, I have many computergeeky friends and they call themselves that, so I figure, if they're cool with that, that's fine but they're missing out on some stuff (girls, girls and more girls) which I think is sad...they often talk to girls over MSN or something, because it's "easier", it's these people I refer to...

Well I have no problem admitting that I'm total geek and I'm proud!:D

Why are geeks so cool? Well that's a perspective thing isn't it? Personally, I just dig people who are intelligent. Whether they are classified geeks, nerds, motorheads or artists;) I also totally dig people who have a passion for what they do. Whether it is cg, installation art, tattoos, modding a case or modding a car.
