The server is down, as you have noticed - Tom is in contact with the server-provider, they will sort it out as soon as they can,

Please bear with us.

Thanks :)

I noticed the slow down like in the middle of the Boxx Comp. but it seems to have gotten slower and slower and slower since then now. might be cause of the attachments and traffic here. might not. but hopefully it gets fixed as well.

Sorry to hear about the server being hacked into.

3D Total is my favorite 3d website out there,

I check it out everyday.

As I'm sure many others do as well.
Well you can count on me making 3d total my first 3d website stop.

Hopefully in the future I can add some great tutorials to your website data base.

For most of my knowledge has come from your tutorials.

...i don't know why hackers should hack sites like 3dtotal or cgtalk...afterall we are communities that work with the computer and its software...what sense does it make to hack these kinda sites??i got a suggestion for hackers:go hacking somewhere else....

3dTotal and Threedy forums are my fav site - I visit at least once a day when I have the time

And the people who sabotaged it aren't hackers.....they're malicious little gits that think they're clever!!!

Best of luck with getting the site back up guys

Nobody said anything about hackers, I believe - there was no hack.

Damn, it's a shame this happened. What would anyone benefit from such an attack? I'm sorry to see / hear that it takes you guys so long to get it back up.

Stupid childish lil morron(s) that did this.. :(

Good luck with getting everything back online and godspeed to the crew!

for me it looks like someone with nothing else to do, malicious people who by envy tried to damage a whole comunity

Just went to www.3dtotal.com and saw/read this.

We are very sorry to report that 3DTotal has been targeted and sabotaged in the last few days whilst the team was away from the studio on vacation, we will post full details soon. Please bear with us while we piece things back together, rest assured this will not beat us and we thank you all for your continued support.

Update 4.30pm GMT 25th May - we have had some good success with the data recovery and are aiming to have the site back up within 24 hours, there will be some glitches and missing parts for the following days as the intruders were very thorough in attacking all 4 areas where is site is stored and backed up. However we are also confident with the help of the community we will be back to full steam in the very near future!

Update 11.49pm GMT 26th May - Continual problems are slowing us down a little, rebuilding the site is one huge puzzle of many chunks of unnamed recovered data, we are going to get the tutorial sections back up first and are hopeful they will be here later today. I also want to thank all the people who have written in offering their best wishes and help.

it kinda sucks to think that some people would want to mess with your site. you guys do a wonderful job with it! it just show that something people have so much envy at the fact that they can't create something that reaches so many people , and do such a good job at it. as you guys have done. that they try and destroy it. well you guys got it working again (in days) chawk up a victory for yourselfs. cause with the skill and determination you guys got. was it ever in any doubt that morons like that could beat you. best wishes.
