Exclusive?

Hello everyone. I came across this site the other day: http://www.gamewallpapers.com and I am interested in finding out 1. How they offer wallpapers at different resolutions. 2. How they can offer exclusive wallpapers that no other site has. 3. Charge people for the viewing of exclusive wallpapers seeing that the gaming companies own the rights to them.

If anyone knows the answers to these questions or can direct me to where I can find the answers please feel free to let me know. Thanks for all your help.

yeah I just checked it out, they would make you pay for a wallpaper that's free on warcraft, something shady is going no there I think.

Hmmf i found a other page with free gamewallpapers.. Exakly the same like them they had over 1000 ANd me who is clever downloaded everyone and .. A week later was the page down:roll:

I bet if you contact the game developer they might send you high quality pictures if you ask nicely. I checked out his collection, and it does look very nice. Never seen them around before. He also have nice widescreen and dual monitor ones, but those aren;t hard to make.

Thanks for your reponse Goj. I have contacted over 300 developers, and they are not willing to give exclusives of that quality. I quess what I really want to find out is what kind of agreement this site has with the developers. There must be one. If anyone can figure it out, let me know. Thanks!!

well I was curious and asked him if it was legal, selling wallpapers that are for free on games sites. Here's his response, and he was kinda bitchy about it as well, rofl.

Do you have any idea how often this is asked? Just because we are not a
magazine, that does not mean that we cannot charge for the work we do.

We make wallpaper out of promotional artworks. They are different from
official website because we make them ourselves. And YES we have
authorization from the companies. They love the free PR we're giving them.
Did you notice that we publish on 16 print magazines? Huh? That's business
you know. Not everything is about copyright, it's about making money.

Thanks, you guys are AMAZING!, to say the least. DaneilB, "YOU DA MAN!". Doesn't it seem kinda fishy to you? What are your thoughts on this? Your right most of them you can find on gamesites, but not all of them. The question is, where does he get the rest? This is my favourite line "We make wallpaper out of promotional artworks. They are different from official website because we make them ourselves." What does this mean exactly? He is still using promotional artworks, therefore it is not his work. That does not give him the right to charge people for it. I talked to various PR departments and they say that they have never heard of him or his website. Hmmmm..... I think this calls for an investigation. What do you guys say to that?
