View Full Version : to hell with porno

I say that porno is degrading western culture and weaking it. I think we should ban it. I find it interesting that Bush and Rummy are being blamed for Abu-Garreib prisoner abuse scandal. I was talking with a vietnam vet about it and he said that back in his day, you know all they could think was playing loud music at them or whatever along those lines. He said though that it makes sense that the guards did that, with a culture so steeped in porno what else whould they think of?

Now I don't think Bush is really that much of a porn enthusiast. Besides, you're not allowed to torture prisoners anyway (playing loud music for days and days is also a form of torture).
This topic is senseless to the bone.

are you serious?
find a forum that deals with human rights and topics not really realated even to an off topic.
try greenpeace forum or some other politcal discussion/argument board.

seeped in porno ?
dont watch it if you dont agree with it . or move to a country where it is already banned.
banning porn would create negative effects on culture etc. and is a bad idea . regulating it is a good idea.
which is already done in most states.
just the interent provides that choice for you to view.
if the ppl who are affected by it watch it its there choice. im sure they would go down a local bar watch a fight. get a blowjob in a back alley. slap a hooker about and pass out in the gutter with a teen who ran away from home.

you think porno is too blame for the way we treat iraq prisoners :S
im sure in nam and ww2 days a lot worse went on,
no fact . it did.

you contradict yourself in your whole question.

I think banning porn would just cause more crime. It still be around but it would just be another illegal buisness for gangs to take over.

Kinda like when we had prohibition in the 1920s.

Yes but think about it, they wouldn't treat the bad guys as bad as they did in the seventies! BAN PORN NOW!!

I don't see hpw porn can have anything to do with the mistreatment of prisonners of war even a little. Or any sort of prisonner for that matter.

Easy way to stop mistreatment of prisonners. Just shoot them or don't bother taking any in the first place.

I hate to tell you this but in the vietnam war soldiers were doing the exact same things to prisoners it just never got to the media so no one made a big deal bout it, plus you know the whole killing villages thing. Porn has nothing to do with what the soldiers did.

Never has. Never will. Just soldiers following their orders.

And imo, this maybe a lil far, but u just using porn as scapegoat.

this topic it totally pointless, porn is no way related to the way things are being handled in irak. Pretty much the type of posts I've come to know from this individual.

porno has been around since the american military invented it during the vietnam war :p

but seriously i dont see a connection between porn and anything really, its a part of culture and has been around for a long time. just like alcohol. ffs even apes have brothels

Sorry guys - just seems that there has been a lot of controversial comments from this guy

I really shouldn't have said anything in the first place, but I noticed a lot of argumentative threads have involved a certain member. :o

okay so he's ignorant, you giving him attention won't make things better...just get it through your heads, John Silver is stupid beyond words, he is radical, and what's worse, he has no idea what he's talking about, he's like one of those kids who speak his/her parents' opinions

coolguy I never meant to sound aggresive, I just explained the deal, sorry

and well, everyone really has the right to say what they want, some are just too stupid that they annoy you...

also, please don't call each other stupid, ok?
you, i, whoever, might not like john silver, but that doesn't mean that he can be bashed.
