Thats pretty neat and tidy :)
Its a great start, I think the modelling looks really good.
Now you need to work on the materials and lighting. I like the desk material, but it is too convincing compared to the PC stuff which looks really small and plasticky.
Also you should try leaving a long GI render on the go, or use a dome setup to fake it, as I think this will add loads to the image. It looks likr you are just using 2 omni's to light it at the moment.
Also i think you need some dirt and grime and rubbish in there to liven it up a bit. Just my opinion there :)
Again, good stuff, just missing the whole package, but practice will make those obvious, trust me :D

Thanks for reply, I do want to know how to do more realistic lighitng but when ever I find a tutorial on lighting its always half complete or skips tons of things so I dont know how to get to where they are... I would really appricate some links to GOOD tutorials on lighitng (Radiosity just confuses me :grr:) The Image is for my final at college (doing a BND in product design) then taken a BA in digital Animation, (had ot make the ****** desk my self (full scale)) so I don't really want to litter it to much as presenting it wouldnt appeal to the public :-P Bu tyea please send some links on lighitng tutoirals :D
Thanks and bye!

very cool, but there are a few proportional errors (unless that's just the style you're using) - for example, the CD jewel cases are too small, as is the paper in the printer.

I also noticed that the mouse is too small.
Make the proportions of the other objects in teh scene correspond to the proportion of the table ( wich you say is full size ) and you got a great image :)

head to the 3dtotal (http://www.3dtotal.com) front page and check the tutorials under free stuff. Amaan did a wicked one in the general section, and Jenn has a good one too.

that looks very good so far :)
my only crit so far is the monitor area:
one cd-holder is straight, while the other slants backwards, that looks kinda odd
hey ThinkTank... nice scene man. i am gonna list you some problems i find in your work, i hope you dont mind:
- the monitor is too high, i have never seen a monitor that high, i think it should be a bit more wider (until and unless you have monitor which you can rotate)
- the printer looks a bit odd, i think its the top tray which makes it look a bit weird.
i love the way you did the table...its very well done :)
for lighting ive seen ppl getting realistic effects with scanline, but it requires practice and time.
you can always try other render, which offer GI solution.
i know how frustating it is when you dont find any good tutorials out there. ive gone thru the same myself.
i use vRay for my work....if you need help just let me know...ill be glad to help.
once again....good work...
fixing some issues would make it look awesome :)
keep us updated :)
