Battlegalactia – The Battle of Aquanatic
Hello everyone, my name is Jason Lavoie and I am looking for experienced people to help me create a total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. This mod requires people who know what they are doing, and are good at it. Here are the following team openings and descriptions:
Concept Artist
Job Description:
Creating well designed concept art for the modeliers
and for the game.
Requirements:
Must be a great artist, like sc fi stuff and has a
great amount of imagination.
An example of previous works is a requirement.
Programmer
Job description:
Creating and modifying the unreal engine code.
Requirements
Must be experienced in programming, and possible
has done programming with the unreal engine before.
Animator
Job description:
Creating realistic and believable player animations.
Requirements:
Must be experienced in 3ds max and character studio.
An example of previous works is a requirement.
Skinner
Job description:
Skinning player, world and inventory models.
Requirements:
Must be experienced in skinning low-medium poly meshes to a high standard.
Examples of work should be shown.
Level Designer
Job description:
Level design for single and multiplayer levels.
Requirements:
Must be experienced in creating levels to a high standard in Ued, preferably with experience in mapping for realistic environments.
Examples of previous work is required (screenshots or a link to the map).
Modeler
Job description:
World, player and inventory modelers.
Requirements:
We are always on the lookout for experienced modelers to add to our collection of player models, static meshes and inventory models.
An example of previous work is a requirement.
Currently the story is still being worked on, but I guarantee you that it will be very exciting. I want to create something that no one has seen before. For this mod I am headed toward a SC FI / Horror experience, the levels will be very dark and gloomy, with marvellous structures and creatures you have never seen before.
The main enemy are 8 foot aliens called Aquanaughts; they are very ruthless warriors that rely on supernatural powers to defeat their enemies, which are the humans. This mod is based in 3021, so I want it so that the humans are equipped with very futuristic armour (I have some drawn out already.)
I want the overall “viewpoint” to be 3rd person, but also allowing the player to go to first person as well if necessary. The 2 races the player can choose are:
Human:
Advanced technology
Able to use vehicles
Able to use all weapons
Able to heal one self
(more will be revealed after further development)
Aquanaught:
Supernatural Abilities:
- Very fast healing
- Can become invisible for a certain amount of time
- The ability to breath under water, swim fast and run fast
- The ability to have night vision for a certain amount of time
- The ability to use supernatural projectiles
Goal:
To create a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 that no one has experienced before. I want it so the team is a small team, about 6 – 10 and work well together and defiantly know what they are doing.
And basically just to have fun doing this… thank you all.
