Memco Interactive Atmosphere (Mia) Version 3 Release
provides new functions that was never available before in real-time. Ray-traced soft and gradient shadows, smooth blurred reflections, blur materials and depth of field within animation are available now directly in real-time.
Mia 3.0 integrates complete rendering system into real-time view.

Brief list of Mia 3.0 new functions:
Real-time soft and blur reflections:
Mia3.0 computes flat, polygonal and approximated curved reflections on any surface.
Reflections has blur, distortion, smoothness and "loosing" effects.
Loosing effect allows to make realistic reflections, where nearest part of reflections has normal view, but back part has blur and gradient softness.
Reflections are computed also on transparent surfaces in real-time.
Blur materials :
Blur can be applied to any material. Blur effect on transparent objects provides refraction effect.
Depth of field:
Depth of field computed in real-time and can be configured from the view menu directly from MiaPlayer. This effect recomputed automatically during animation.
Ray-traced shadows in real-time:
Mia3.0 provides unique technology for rendering realistic shadows. Shadows of Mia3.0 can be computed directly from MiaPlayer.Shadows has gradient level, blur level, smoothing. However the nearest part of shadows is more sharpen then far part. Depending on light source position shadows may have various intensity and gradient inside.
Shadows of transparent objects are computed correctly with color and shadow image changing.
Large textures and maps:
Mia3.0 works with textures and opacity maps up to 5000x5000 size.
