looks rocking to me, i really like the 'bendy' style of the buildings, the only crit i have is that the grass looks a little too defined around the edges, and a bit 2D.

I love the style of the models. My only crit is with the grass and dirt textures. If you were to tweak these that would make the image sooooo sweet.

cheers for the comments guys i think your right about the grass and the texture we realy need to get a better design for them.
ill tell you a little about the animation as we have just got another project in to make a trailer for a new animation series so as this is our personal project we have put it on the back burner for a while.

the animation was thought up last year in one of our university modules (design for animation) there were 4 of us in the group where we had to plan out an animation with character designs animation bibles etc etc. anyway our idea created a huge hype with lectures and students as they all loved the characters and theme. but we just left it at that.

but in our third year at university we had the option of a work placement me and another mate from the group decided to take this placement year for experience but the other two didnt want to they wanted to get straight through uni. so me and the other guy tried for placements but the ones on offer from the university didnt siut our needs so we had talks with the university staff and the top guy to propose the idea of setting up our own company, after many talks and buisness plans later they accepted the idea and halped us out loads buy letting us rent an office form them in a new 1.2 million renovated building for vertually nothing.

anyway we stared out slow but we have got some big projects in the works (moddeling characters for a new XBOX game (Fateofages.com) animation trailers etc etc and have somehow gained grate contacts with people from companys like atomic planet (atomic-planet.com) and i am also working on a new series with a guy from eidos who has lefty to persue his new idea.

anyway thigs were going great and we had a little spare time so i suggested we remake our project just for fun so we got in touch with our old group members who were still at uni and one agreed but the other said he was too busy and said we could take the poroject and we got another firiend from uni to join as well once they finished thier final year so the company has expanded a little and their are now 5 of us and we have a whole series planned out for the animation with scripts and everything we have hired a quality voice artist from london to work with us. so at the moment we have just begun work on the scenes and backgrounds but its awkward as the cgaractes them selfs arent 3D but a very flat and simple 2D form. so we have to make a slight blending in between the 3d and 2d wich is where we need alot of experimental work as you all know your ideas on paper nearly alwas dont turn out correctly in practice.

christ i wasnt expecting to write that much. anyway ill keep you all posted on any new developments with it and thanks again for the encouraging words.
