It's still pretty far from done. I've got to do the entire interior, except for the seats.
C&C on work so far!

Far from done?
Looks like you've been going at that body with Autoglym like an obsessive-compulsive.
Just kidding. Looking great so far.
BTW, what engine are you sticking in there? A 7 Litre would be nice... lol...

Hello! Looking great so far! What are you going to put in front? Maybe a grill? That would be nice I think:)
Keep it up, I wanna see the interior:)

Thanks for the friendly replies!
Hum, the front...in the real car, you can see part of the engine, so I might model the parts you can see. Oddly enough, the real car doesn't have a grill. Too bad, I think it would look nice. I may put one in the end just to see how it looks :)
The reference on this car is tough. There are so many different styles of interior. I think I might go for the old style. I need to start modelling more, here's an update...I've got part of the "tunnel" I think in, plus the general shape of the dashboard. I want to make the interior pretty detailed, but I'm not neccessarily determined to have it super-accurate.

Does anybody know if the real Shelby Cobra has door handles? On all my reference pictures there are none. I guess it's strictly remote entry.
First off, I'd like to say lovely choice of car, it's my favorite :)
Back in the day I think they were just more used to jumping in over the doors rather than opening them from the outside lol. If you want, i have a bunch of references that I have found over the internet. I really don't know where the doorhandles are though...
If you want to be real nitpicky, I have quite a few critiques, and I'm bored so I guess ill just post them. First off, the easier things. The chrome rollbar isnt squared off, its more like a round tube. The seats really look great but I think the back should be a little thicker, like in the pic here. There are a lot of interior styles though, so don't be limited and choose what you like. For the trunk, the edges are more rounded there too and not squared. The windshield is in the right place, but the body goes back a little farther and the dashboard is more vertical. The wheel wells could be sharper as well.
But so far your model is really lookin good, just the finer details, and not even that, since ive seen lots of pictures of cobras that have all different styles. Anyways I hope you keep working and posting :)
I got plenty of refs if you need em, and u made me want to start my cobra up again. Sorry for the low compression size of this JPEG.

Oh wow, awesome interior reference there sarN. That's really useful. I couldn't really find any full shots like that. I see my interior needs a lot of work! The seats could be muuuuuch wider, and I see what you mean with the dashboard.
Thanks a lot for that post, it was very helpful.
I liked your Cobra, what happened to it? If you're like me, you were inspired for another project and said "Well, I'll come back to it right after this one....", and you know how it goes from there :)

how about that for reference of a Cobra dash?
I worked from photos of a genuine Shelby.
There are no external door handles - just levers on the insides of the door.
You can't see the engine through the apertures at the front - all you can see is the radiator and cooling fans through the top one and the oil cooler through the bottom.
