Hey all, haven't posted here in ALONG time... well currently I am working on this Wc3 mod, and I guess I want to share some models with you...
In total I have done like 7 models... but 4 just.. well I didn't really like them, I know i can do better... but finall yI think i have gotten the hang of wc3 modeling (lol... if there is a way)
so here are 2models that I think i did very well on... and balh balh... here ya go..

the models are neat, but it will be the textures wich will make the trick :D
nice, i love warcraft 3 :) are these models high poly compared to the ones used in game? Well whatever, yours are looking really good, love those concepts too

not to be mean but your first character looks like a man because the breast are flat at the front unlike the concept i think you should maybey make it more round.

HA HAH A i know man... lol i notice that was well... but that was like my second female model i have done in my whole life... lol I will fix it up...
and the poly amounts for those models were Assasin (special character) 1200 polies (that was my lmiit) and the building was 800 polies...

thats pretty sweet polycount for characters im also working on a wc3 mod :) havnt got a website for it or anything yet lol me and my brother started working on it hopefully it will be cool.

WELLL i have BIG news as well... this very AWSOME mod team for an hl2 mod has invited me to join their team, but I have to produce a model (they sent me a concept) if I can get on this mod, I think that ti will open some more opportunitys for me... maybe a better reputation, or more "work"
So... I may have to put this mod on hold (i will still make models for them) but i am VERY focuesd on the task at hand... I am SO EXCITED!

www.moddb.com, its a good stie to look for recruiting mods, but some of them are dead mods... i sent out about 5 e-mails asking people if they need help... :)

We have other people skinning these buildings (for the wc3 mod)
I was INVITED to join this mod (http://www.dystopia-mod.com) But I have to prove to them that i can model... and right now... th face is hard... so yeah...

he he thats acutly a 3d model dude (the concepts... all of them) they are done by other people... i get them from the wc3 team... so yeh :)
Thanks again fuxers... i have done like... more models but there simple things... like a sign bent in... HORRIBLE ways... and street lights, crumbled buildings.. its a super pain... but its fun non the less... bye :)

I know for a fact it is a Games Workshop image, Warhammer 40K.
(I believe the actual model was a Space Marine release (23mm scale).
Games Workshop (from experience) are very protective of their artwork and its use.
Be sure you have their permission to use it or Mr. Lawsuit will be coming your way if they get wind.
But if your the actual artist of the image i'd guess you have a clause in your Games workshop contract to use your own work as you see fit.
Just a word of warning.
BTW Great low poly art and keep it coming!! :D

R those concept drawings jason? They look like textured 3d models very nice concepts (NO they're not yours ;) I know) Very nice 3d models man nice clean meshes u did a nice job. Keep us informed :)

Actually along with this, I am going to get a small but good team of peopl to create a TC mod for wc3 (i am i love with it now) of the currurnt iraq war... its a touchie subject, so if anyone doesn't want me to do this, i coudl do another thing... its just that I am really fasinated with war... in a respecable.. i have great respect for the men and woman who are in the war... and I hope that Iraq, one day, will be a peaceful place to live in...
but if anyone wants to join, this wil be the "official" first project of he Knack For Talent team (this i created on the side for people who are very serisoue at what they do... for modding and what not)
basically i am looking for a texture guy (i will texture as well...) a tileset dude... a trigger person... some good modeliers.. maybe 1 or 2 more... 1 more animator (i already hav one) and thats about it, hopfully i can get a small effiecent team... and for those who want to test it out as we progress, just ask, my freinds at threedy will have first dibs... :)
i wil be making the official plans tonight...
AND OF COURSE i wil stil be modeling for this team, i love modeling, can't get enough of it :)

hey guys... lol I just read over what everyone said... and I just wanna thank everyone for the cnei comments.. i know I am not the best modelier out there, but with comments like these... really inspiers me to become better...
I know my work would be better if i could texture... but at the moment, unwrpaing is weird for me, so I am gonna do tons of tuts until I get it right... hopfully by then, i can feel like i am an average modelier (skill wise)
But again, thanks everyone for your nice comments :)
I proise tehre will be more models soon :)

I suggest reference my earlier post you have a word with the people providing your concept artwork.
All the images i have seen and the word assassinorium, are products from Games workshop and warhammer 40K universe.
Again, I suggest you proceed carefully if you are making a MOD using their IP.
oh, btw Where's the updates????
Let see some more of your 'ace' low-poly art.
Sorry to beat you about the concepts but like I said before, you dont want a lawsuit hitting your mod and being forced to shut down.

Updates for this mod will be coming... but right now most of the Human stuff is done... so were almost to the next race... which I will do more models :)
but... Now I am working on anotehr wc3 mod (my own mod) called (respectably) D-Day, here is the Introduction, if anyone is interested please sned me an e-mail :)
D-Day: A Total Conversion Modification for Warcraft 3
Hello, my name is Jason Lavoie, and I will be the project leader and lead modeler for this Total Conversion Mod for Warcraft 3 called (respectably) “D-Day.” I am looking for a small but very efficient team to help me complete this ambitious project. This will be the first project for my little company called “Knack for Talent Productions” so I will put my heart and soul into this to make it a fun mod to play, I also expect my team to do the same.
Hopefully if this works out, I will continue to make mods like these, maybe for a new game (whenever it comes out) I think the RTS genre offers a great opportunity to mod something very unique and fun for any gamer.
So without further a-do, let’s get this show on the road.
1) 2 sides you can choose from, The Americans or The Germans
2) Each side has 12 unique maps (situations) that were important in the Normandy Invasion, all leading up to D-Day.
3) Every unit and model in this mod will be changed to accurately portray the units used during the Normandy invasion.
4) Non-stop action in this pulse pounding total conversion mod known as “D-Day”
My goals for this mod is to –
1) Establish a great team together who get along with everyone on that team
2) Create a very powerful but fun mod taking place in 1944 during the Normandy Invasion (D-Day)
3) Create 12 levels for each Campaign (2 all together) that will immerse the player in an ever lasting battle.
4) Represent KFT (Knack for Talent) and the team to create the best mod for wc3.
1 Modeler – Looking for someone who has been modeling for awhile, has great team cooperation, has seen or modeled Warcraft 3 models before, and can model on a deadline,
must be able to know how to unwrap.
(more about deadline below)
(Currently I only need one more modeler, because I am one)
1 - 2 Sound Engineers – Fancy name for a fancy position. Need someone who knows what there doing when it comes to recording sounds, fixing up sounds etc. This job shouldn’t be too demanding because most if not all the sounds will be easy to find.
1 – 2 texture Artists – Must be skilled in a photo editing software (I would pick Photoshop, because it has everything we need) Must be able to make LOW poly models look nice, with minimal texture stretching (this will be an animators job as well, to make sure there is small texture stretching) Must be able to know how to texture buildings, units etc. with accurate details.
1 – 2 Trigger Engineers – Must know how to setup a trigger sequence in Warcraft 3, sadly I do not know much about this position, so if you think you have what it takes, please ask to join.
1 Animator – I need someone who can do death sequences for vehicles, units etc. walk sequences etc. Basically all that I am looking for is just nice smooth animations.
(Currently have one animator on the team already)
2 Tile set Artists – Must be familiar with the map utility that comes with Warcraft 3. Must be able to make nice, smooth transitional tile sets of snow, rocks, sand etc.
(People will have a 1 up if they can model simple objects as well)
1 – 3 Concept Artists – Need concept artist to create Icon sets for “D-Day” mod, they must look nice and also fit with the theme.
2 – 3 Map Artists – Must have worked with the Warcraft map utility before and must be familiar with it. Very important to me that the maps look good, but also are easy to navigate, some maps will be huge, some maps will be small.
I think this will be the initial logo we will be using for this mod.
Time Line –
First Week – Establish the team. (I want this to take as little time as possible, 1 week is the max, if we do not have all the spots filled, we will start anyways.)
Second Week – (I hope this will take no longer then a full months work to finish)
Modelers – Start working on vehicles (Tanks, Airplanes, ground vehicles)
Texture Artists – Start to unwrap and then texture the tanks etc. according to their type of model.
Animators – After textures are placed on the vehicles, animators will start to animate the vehicles.
As you notice not everyone has a job during this slice of the pie, if anyone would like to do something while they are waiting, just ask.
Sixth Week – (Again, hopefully this wont take longer then a month)
Icon Artist – Start creating the pictures for each separate vehicle etc.
Sound Engineers – Start to gather some sounds for the tanks, the plans, etc.
(to make it easier, the tanks… should basically have the same sound, maybe change it a bit, also with the vehicles and planes)
Modelers – Start to create buildings that incorporate the vehicles (buildings that make vehicles, buildings that upgrade vehicles etc.) also make sure that when you model one building for one side, you model the same building for the other… just make sure they don’t look totally alike.
Animators/ Texture Artists – Once buildings are animated, make sure the textures look great on these buildings, since they are a big object on screen, so no stretching!
That is currently all I have for now, this is a good 2 – 3 months of work that should keep everyone busy. And of course this isn’t final, we still have maps and such, so we will defiantly have maps to show as well, but tile sets need to be created as well, we can discuss more about this once we have a team.

Yeah an update... this is for my mod called "D-Day" for warcraft 3...
My first model for this mod is a Panzer Tiger Tank for the Germans, supposedly this was amognst the best designed tanks... very powerfull and strong... so yeah... just a little history (i am learnign more and more things cause i have to study this for the mod)
Anyways here it is... :)

He he, all you need is modeling software... tutorials... and just practice, I have only been modeling for 8 months now... and although these are warcraft 3 models... lolw poly, i think they look pretty good, and once i get them textured... i think it will make them look that much better

I think i will play some war based rts's to get a feel for gameply, that will inspire me to do things as well.... again if anyone is interested, and meets the needs that I am looking for... please give a holler... either pm or e-mail me... :)

Not much to say, they look fine as they are, but the wheels are wrong. there should be 10 wheels, in two rows of 4 and two big cogs a the front and back. Just take a look at your refrence and you'll see what i mean-

thanks chris, actually I am chaning the wheels, I am only going ot have 4 ... and then have a texture of wheels in the background, so when animated, it will look like the wheels are moving as well... also... the tred... is tehre a way to get an animted texture.. and how hard is it?

Thanks dude... um its not a render... i hate renders.. there pieces of crap poopy stuff... i just take screens of my perspctive view.... with wire frame on (i use a material, the grey one... and then just do a black wire frame color thing) and take the pic...
TO me i think it actually adds to the overall apperance in my opinion... :)
