Do you remember the N64? Well if you do you should defiantly remember Goldeneye, one of the best games ever! I decided to do a new high quality remake of the second level “Facility”(The one where you start in the tolilet – gas tanks at the end). Here is how its looking thus far, only bottom half moddeled, but you can see the shape is looking good.

looking good, but i think in that room in the middle of your picture the door isnt right against the wall like that, im pretty sure it had a little space. And at the end of that hallway when u are by the room with the two pillar things, theres a door too :) just nitpicking but its looking good so far. THat was a great game :)

Now this is something I am going to look forward to :D Facility was one of my favourite maps/level/stages (dont remember what it was refered to then). Don't forget the hidden vent in the bathroom(second stall to your right :haha:, yup its that vivid for me:) ) Anyway, looking accurate so far, are you using reference or just playing the game a lot for visual aid?

Nice work handyandy, good idea to remake this level ;)
Only thing though, the doors handles are too high, they should be a little down the half of the doors.
But about that the modeling is nice so far, will you make an animation with James Bond rocking the place? :)

Nice point about the door handles “xav3d,” I will lower them a touch.

Well “Fusion”?? I was hoping no one would bring this up and I would appear to have a stunning memory, but I am using a N64 emulator (which runs at an amazing 1280x1024 res) on my PC, that’s how I am able to get the modelling and colouring accurate, I also played the game on the console for about a thousand hours ; ), so that helps too. Animation? Are you crazy, this is the biggest scene I have ever attempted, and I am very pleased with how its turning out, though if you wanted to design the guards to place around the scene, that might be very cool!

The big question I need answered is how do you use creations in 3Ds Max and import them in to a game engine to play. I know Max is used by something like 60-80% of game developers, so I really need to know. If anyone can explain or post a link with info/downloads that would be great, thanks!

(new update below – created boxes, secondary floor tile, rooms blue brick. About 60% complete now!)

hmm do you really think brick has reflexion? of course if you have the map i could be completely wrong.. or if there laminated some how.. but to me i dont see how the blue brick could be reflective.. other then that.. excellent work.. looks very very good..

haha on n64 i dont think anything had reflection :) But i think you should make this like a newer version or something, its looking great. that was definitely the best level...

hmm, ok there is no reflection on the blue wall, thats Max;s deseiving standard lighting. next update floows.

Yeah Sarn I was origionally thinkin of doing a more update detailed ver, but i thought ppl would say "i dont rerembber that being there?" so i might do a second version after i finish all the standard stuff. cheers.

Seeing how you have raised the level to the second floor (except the toilet ofcourse) - Are you aware of the shaft with the ventilation duct running through? It is located at the same place where you have the emergency exit sign in the green corridor if you look straight up.

Few players knew about that one ^^

-10 health, pistols @ facility - using Oddjob was never cheating!

Great work. My nostalgia for this level was quickly replaced by a deep loathing once I remembered how many times my brother used to throw proximity mines near the vent in the restroom so that whenever I spawned in the vent I was quickly vaporized  . But then I remembered how many times I've done the same **** to him :p :D . My only crit is that it is much too dark in some areas. I think you should put an omni light with very low intensity over the entire level so one can barely make out the dark corridors :) .

Thanks for that, yeah a fly by is a cool idea, i started work on it yesterday.

Just to ask again does anyone know how to get 3Ds MAX (levels) creations into games (any high quality one will do).
