Hi there
I ve been working on this charactere 2 month ago and I stop it, cauz Im working on a realistic girl and I start sketching a new charactere for a short movie.
So I decide to give him a pose and just made a picture. Right now there is no texture, a quick lighting setup and I have to made some improvement on the modeling.
Im looking for a tutorial in max6 where a can find information for lighting a charactere. On this scene Ive put 3 light + 1 sky light.
Any comment , idee or lighting tutorial link woul dbe great. Thx.
inspired by Gary Oldman from The Professional and Marilyn Manson

I think you feel the character like I wanted. Im working on the scene, but in lighting im not very good, so if you have any tips and tricks, its would great.

the only suggestion I can make is that perhaps the revolver would look better, if it the hand was turned so that the viewer gets a side view of the revolver. do i make any sense?
great pdesign and very original!

Chris-3DT : I wasnt sure if people will notice it :) , im too lazy, cauz I didnt make de cross(can I say that in english, I mean the part you hold the gun) . I change my mind and I will correct that.
Here a rough on what I have in my mind.

Very nice style. The lighting needs work, and I think there is some lighting tutorials on the 3dtotal page... If not, just type in "3d lighting tutorials," or something similar in the google toolbar (you do have google, don't you :???: :ufo: ). In terms of the modelling, I'd say its next to perfect. I think you should give him eyebrows though to make up for the expression lost because of the bandana covering his mouth. Also, judging by his clothes, he looks like a viscious and almost sadistic murderer, so I think you should give him a weapon more suiting to his character... perhaps some hedge clippers or a butcher knife, or maybe a chainsaw or a nailgun... just throwing out some ideas :) .
i would say i love your work. very unique. I also agree with Phynius Gauge about the weapon choice. i know you said his modeling is unfinished but it would look that much bettter withsome ears.

Phynius Gauge: Thx! This is the kind of thing I need to hear! I thing you are right! I check that this week , but I think a knife would be great.
Goat: Thats weird, I really forgot the ear !!!:). I never thing about that, I dont know why :) Thx! (DOnt worry There is no sarcasm , I just forgot :) )
