just trawling for software and found this demo, its some dudes PHD :D if you liked terragen you will probably like this too :) heres some renders from the last 20 minutes or so... unfortunately it doesnt seem to be mesh as we know it so no importing, just post work etc.

i know.. i think its a demo renderer or something.. the gallery renders look better..

thats nice.. some views in the game are really cool.. even though the graphics are not that good.. amazing:D

lol Dr.N, actually thats one of the reasons i was looking for that kinda software.

I have a dream that one day people will see that there is a rift in gaming that needs to be closed:D. i have played flight simulator 4, which manages to contain a low rez version on our planet on four cds, i have played the getaway, which has a high rez version of london on its DVD, GTA:VC has a 1970s ish rendition of an american dream thingy.. i want these to collaborate, i want a high quality version of our planet complete with cars boats planes, helicopters, WMD's spaceships, the lot.. all stealable, raceable etc.... ok so i can dream :p
